You are probably right... Guess I was just hoping for a little more privacy. At least in the CBR there was a screen that you could pull closed :)

If you want privacy, I highly recommend the Royal Assante Suite!

Sorry, just being a smart a**.

Now that is somewhere I want to stay before I die!

this:

"go to savvannah more fun for kids and bunkbeds if u have aaa u can get bunkbeds added on 4 free lol"

Saw it on another thread - I've never heard that you can get bunkbeds for free with AAA! :confused3

Okay...gurus of all things AKL...I need some help (ssh...no comments from the peanut gallery :lmao: ). Which safari would you book? We do have children but would have no problem getting them a sitter if need be. We will be staying at at the concierge level. We have never been on any of them. I know of the sunset safari at AKL, the sunrise safari at DAK and one during the day at DAK. Any feedback on which is your favorite? Would you suggest doing more then one? Our 180 mark is fast approaching. :cool1: :cool1: Thanks for any suggestions and feedback!!

I have not been on the sunset but the sunrise was wonderful. There is also
a breakfeast buffet afterwards thats is reallly nice in the DAK. The sunrise safari is the same one at the park but without the speel about the poachers and big red the elephant. It is also at a much slower pace ie mine safari was
about 45- 1 hour or more. You can ask questions and take as many photos as you want . It goes in a at different route to. They give you a fast pass to take the ride the usual way.:)

..and WDW, even though that part of our trip ended already on 2/15. We had a brilliant time, I have lots of pictures (some quite interesting ones I hope) and will write more soon. At the moment the 6-hour jet-lag does not let me think straight  and I can't yet get the pictures off the camera as the airline lost my bag with the cable in it! :scared1: So, I promise a detailed report later! Just wanted to say that AKL was absolutely fantastic. I wish I could go back there immediately!

Depends on what you want out of your safari experience! The sunset is on the grounds of the AKL, so you have the smaller selection of animals. The group is small, and usually all adults. You do have the awesome dinner experince afterwards. The sunrise has a larger selection of animals. There is a large group (2 trucks), and there are children included. Then there is the amazing breakfast buffet. Both tours give you plenty of time to see the animals and ask questions. We happened to have the same guide for both our tours in November (Vickie). She was wonderful and really loved her job.

I will post a few photos, but they are big, and I don't know how to make them small!

Tried to search but had no luck

Beyond non-smoking is there any room requests that you AKL experts would recommend for a standard view room? I'm not expecting anything amazing, but avoiding looking out at dumpsters would be nice :lmao:

Thanks!

AMAZING!! Thank you for posting that!! And that was great advice! I think we will go with the sunrise safari since it would be nice to have the larger selection of animals and dh and I already have a romantic Jiko dinner in our plans. ;) Also, the kids would love the whole safari thing and it will be nice to do it with them. The reason I was thinking the sunset safari at first was that it would be "more animal time". If that is not true, we might as well enjoy our safari as a family!

THANKS and I LOVE the photos! If you are feeling generous...I would love to see some more of your wonderful shots!!

I especially loved the one of the elephant! :thumbsup2

I agree- Very nice! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Since the search doesn't seem to be working, does anyone know if the bathrooms have pocket/sliding doors on them? I thought I saw it in a picture but just can't find them...

Thanks!

We've stayed in a handicap room that had a sliding bathroom door and the sink, toilet, and shower all in the same room. I'm pretty sure I have a pic of it on my laptap at home. I will check when I get home tonight and post a picture.

Just wanted to say Hi and thank everyone for your contributions to this great thread!!

......you're welcome.....:goodvibes

...We love WL but are ready for something different and all of your info. and pictures have convinced us that we will love AKL just as much. We have booked Savannah view - I asked for the Zebra Trail, but forgot to say Arusha Savannah - do you think that I should modify this request?

...no, you will be fine....Zebra Trail/Savannah view will mean that you WILL get the Arusha Savannah....:)
