I’m thinking I want the sunset savanna, I’ve been looking on touring plans, but does anyone have advice on potential room requests? Would be in a studio. Thanks in advance !

Disney Food Blog did a video on Jambo. They suggested Zebra Trail and Arusha. The theory is that Arusha is the "main" savanna for the common areas and as such, usually has the most animals. We are going for our first Jambo trip in November so I don't have first hand experience.

Hmmm interesting. I was debating sunset and Arusha since both savannahs seem to be active/ nice views.

The Sunset Savanna is the shared savanna between Jambo and Kidani, and has a lot of activity as well. Not really a bad choice here.

Are there any species in particular you want to see? I don't have a strong preference as far as which savanna I want to overlook. I'm mostly concerned with proximity to elevators, quick service, etc., when staying at Jambo.

Zebra trail is the most convenient savanna view for access to the pool/QS IMO.

I’ve overlooked the sunset Savannah when staying at kidani and loved it! We love giraffes which I believe is at all of the jambo savanna’s, but other than that just hoping for lots of activity and giraffe sightings! We will probably use the pool a lil but not the quick service.

Thank you! Are there any particular rooms that have great views, or just near the start of the trail ?

I’d say that since all the dvc rooms at Jambo house are on the 5th floor of the resort, all of the savanna view rooms have great views. At least, I’ve never had a bad one.

Is that also close to Jiko or would that not make a difference regardless of trail
The elevators that go directly down to Jiko & Boma are located close to the front of the lobby near the store & Giraffe trail which is where the value villas are located. But Zebra trail elevators are closer than the Kudu trail elevators which are on the other side of the building.

With savanna view room at Jambo, I request room overlooking Arusha savanna, along Zebra Trail, and away from the lobby area. Such a room provides an excellent view; views from rooms closer to the lobby are not as good.. The room faces west so you avoid sun coming in the room in the morning, the balcony is shaded until later in the day, and you can see pleasant sunsets. The pool is on that side and there is an elevator halfway down the hallway that takes you quickly to the pool.

Note that one has a decent chance of getting savanna view even with a standard (now resort) view room, but not of the Arusha savanna. More than half of the standard view rooms have savanna view; the rest pool view. With standard view, the request to make is for room on the Kudo Trail side of the building. All standard view rooms on that side have Sunset savanna view

The standard view rooms are either pool or partial savanna view rooms that is true. There aren’t any parking lot views at Jambo that I know of, unless you’re in a value room.
