we are staying at the jambo house AKL in November. Hints or ideas?
Yes I think that's what it's calledAre you booked Club Level?
4 daysYou have Club Level access to the lounge area on checkout day until mid-night, giving you access to breakfast, snacks/drinks throughout the day, appetizers, drinks, and desserts in the evening. Along with the TV to watch, games to play, and a relaxing area while awaiting your departure..
Wow thanksThere's a link somewhere here for all club level.
I wish I could show you the pix when I was there in May, but Photobucket no longer allows 3rd party hosting for free (they want $400/year for it!)
Anyhow, bottled drinks (or cans) are: Minute Maid Apple Juice, Coca Cola soft drinks (so Coke, Sprite, Diet Coke and Fanta), Nesquik Chocolate Milk, two white milks (these were in the cardboard-y type containers). These are in the fridge with yogurt (at breakfast time). NO BOTTLED WATER. Also available to fill up a glass is Jungle Juice, Orange Juice, and Filtered Water (so if you drink the chocolate milk or apple juice, rinse it out and fill up water to go).
They have these times/foods:
6:30 AM: coffee and other assorted drinks
7:00 AM – 10:30 AM: Breakfast / Miamko (Adventurous Awakenings): hard boiled eggs (that's pretty much the only protein available), smoke salmon, fruit, assorted pastries (including bagels), oatmeal, quinoa (and then stuff to put in the oatmeal/quinoa) and drinks (Coffee is Nespresso pods). They also have hot cocoa powder (Nestle) that you can use the Nespresso maker and get hot milk from to make hot chocolate with milk
11:30 AM – 3:30 PM: Snacks and beverages / Vitafunio (Safari Snacks): basically snacks and make-your-own trail mix
3:00 PM – 4:30 PM: Chai (Afternoon Tea): same stuff as the Vitafunio, but a bit more. Fruit and the like. Scones (at least when I was there in mid-May was put out every 3rd day [I was there for four days and they only had scones once!]) You can get wine and other alcohol, but it is brought to you.
5:00 PM – 7:00 PM: Hors d’oeuvres and beverages / Kisikusiku (Twilight Offerings) : The only time there is "hot" food (except for the oatmeal/quinoa at breakfast) will be the two samplings from the AKV restaurants. It changes daily. Oh, and the wine is put out for people to help themselves. Cheese, vegetables, bread, hummus, and the like. For the kids, expect either Uncrustables PB&J (cut up into fours) or a ham & cheese roll (also cut up), as well as sliced apples with caramel.
8:00 PM – 10:00 PM: Desserts and cordials / Rehema (Evening Indulgences): Usually the same desserts you see during Chai and then a few extra. Desserts vary daily (for the non-standard ones). Standard ones are chocolate chip cookies, sugar cookies, round rice krispy treats with icing on top)
There is a computer screen that changes every 10-15 seconds right underneath the large TV. It will tell you the daily offerings, including alcohol that is available (I didn't see it until our last day, lol)
At 10 p.m., they close down club level and empty out the fridge (so no late night drinks)
Oh, and when you check in at club level (Kilimanjaro is what they call it), you'll get a welcome package for your family with a bag of nuts and granola.
Wow thanks
And that's going to happenYou're welcome. Drinks are all you can drink, of course!![]()
And that's going to happen
Is the club lounge open 24 hours for visiting, even when the food is not out? Or does it close down at midnight and open back up at 6 a.m.?

You state you are staying at AKL which is the hotel. Since you posted in a DVC forum, do you mean AKV (the Villas) or are you staying in an AKL hotel room? The difference will be that if you are staying at AKV, you will be on the 6th floor, the same floor as the concierge lounge. There are five 2BR lockoffs on the 6th floor and none of them are very far from the lounge. If you are staying in AKL (the hotel), then you will be on the 4th floor (I think) and will have to take the elevator up to the lounge.we are staying at the jambo house AKL in November. If points were used, then it's AKV (the Villas) not AKL (the hotel). As PP mentioned, there are five 2 BR lockoffs, and they are on the same floor as the lounge. (A 2 BR lockoff means it is a studio and a one-bedroom with a connecting door. It might have been booked as a 2 BR or it might have been booked as a studio and a one-bedroom separately.)
Two of these 2 BR lockoffs face the pool.
Three of these 2 BR lockoffs face the savannah, but they are at the very end of the savannah and are on the highest floor of the hotel. The only animals you see are the ones who feel like walking to the very end of the savannah, and you will be high up so your view of them won't be great.
