Captain's Grille looks really good, especially that dessert!

We had been looking forward to this day for months....we were having an extra special Dis-meet on this day with some of our favorite Dis-friends! It's so funny as you plan these things and it feels like you've know them for years but realize "yup, we've never met". We couldn't get out the door fast enough!
Before I get on with our day tho, I forgot to mention that Jasmine had been contemplating getting a henna tattoo in Morocco the entire trip so before we went into dinner she stopped and got one....I thought it was so pretty! Now she wants a real one on her foot! I have always wanted a foot tattoo so maybe in a few years we'll go together![]()

I love this shot!
I ordered the macadamia nut pancakes! I had always thought I would try the tonga toast but I couldn't help but think what if I don't like it! So I went with a sure thing!
Jeff got the Big Kahuna....I know, you're all shocked!
On our way over we stopped for Jeff to see if he had aquired a taste for The Beverly....apparently not![]()
Dale (Dawn's hubby) told me that the jalapeno margarita was delicious so I decided to give it a try! I realize now tho that I look far too happy in this picture! I have to say that drink was one of the best I have ever had! It was different but not completely out there! Loved it!
From The Ditch we wandered around WS landing in Germany (who can pass up the Karamel Kuche? Not us!!!
![]()
Proof of how tired Jeff was.....out like a light on the boat! We decided, once again, to take the boat to the Studios and grab our bus from there!
The three girls outside! I love this picture of all of them together!
I ordered the clam chowder for an appetizer and shared it with the kids! Jasmine loves clam chowder so I believe she ate most of it![]()
a pork chop on top of corn polenta....words cannot describe how flavourful this was! I would go back in a heartbeat to have this!
Jasmine was mad because she got full fast but still wanted to eat .... I think you know who finished her meal don`t you
I promised a second post this weekend and I`m even missing the Vancouver - LA game to get it doneWell...it`s on and I am listening intently ready to jump up at any moment!
Love the hats! Man, what I would have given for a princess hat when I was a kid!
Jeff pretending he is Jessica Simpson....oh he keeps us in stitches that boy!
This cracks me up...and we were walking to make our way to The Land, MM was in front of me and I told her to stop and smell the roses because she was just motoring to get to Soarin ....well she did exactly what I told her and I was quick enough to capture it! Love that she does everything her auntie tells her to do
France....we all know what I get when in France....but not this time!
Belle....can you all believe I gave up my pic with Belle for Jeff....I know, me neither
![]()
Being silly....if you cannot be silly here where can you be
Jeff wanted his picture with this everytime we passed...he finally got it
The kids and Geodoc all decided it was time for a Kim Possible mission which Peg and I wanted no part of so
what did we do.......THE DITCH!!!
What was really bad was she said when we walked in "hello my Canadian friends, I'm so happy you have come again".
Pretty henna tattoo!
Hmmm, Via Napoli looks so good!
We havn't been yet but I have an ADR booked for August.
You mentioned the TiW card. I am contemplating getting one in May.
When do they expire? End of the calendar year or 1 yr from the time you purchase it?
Paying OOP is new to us as we always have Free Dining.
Dismeets are fun, can't wait for ours!![]()
Captain's Grille looks really good, especially that dessert!![]()
What a wonderful day...yummy breakfast, yummy drinks with friends, yummy dinner, I sense a theme here
Seriously, Capt. Grille looks great and even better that the server checked your schedule! I'll have to keep that one in mind as DH is suddenly very interested in the Epcot resorts after staying at the Swan!
Hi there!Still here, following along!

Mmmm, that food looks so tasty. You're the second person to update with the Captain's Grille on their TR, so it leads me to believe that I need to put it on my list o' restaurants to try.
Sheesh! I go away for a week and what happens? Three posts! I'm just gonna dive right in here...
Hawaii....how was it
Isn't that the truth. When I met you at our Winnipeg meet, I felt the same.
So true! We really need to get another one in...not sure now if it will happen before our May trip...but maybe right after we get back
I like that! The tattoo and the mother daughter idea. DW years back was thinking of getting a small pear done on her ankle. I told her, "Oh, yes. A raisin on your ankle would look nice." She replied, "Not a raisin, I said a 'pear'." To which I responded, "Oh, sure. It'll be a pear for now, but when you're eighty, it'll look like a raisin; so I'm just planning ahead."
Ok, I have to ask, did she find that funny? It reminds me when my cousin got a red rose on her chest when we were in our early 20's and I told her by the time she was 80 it would be a long stemmed red rose...she didn't find the humour in it....I sure did tho
Oddly enough, she never got it.
I'm so surprised
Me too. Candids are the best!
I have to get better at grabbing those moments.....
Tonga toast is on my list. Can't believe you passed it up! Next time order it and if you don't like it after the first bite, send it back and get get something else, okay?
Alright...I'll try it next month and report back

How on earth did you get him to drink it???
Just told him maybe it was a bad batch last time...the boy falls for every trick in the book!
I remember reading that from their TR. I'm not a fan of jalapenos though. Is it really noticeable? Or quite different? Maybe I should just take my own advice and order one!
I'm with you...not really a fan of eating them, but this drink was deliciious!
I'm not sure if anyone could.
Glad to see that the "thumbs-up" job was carried on in his absence.
He's lucky that's all that happened while he was thinking...considering the company he was with I would have expected him to keep one eye open
Cute pic!
Good thing I wasn't there 'cause she'd have a fight on her hands. Clam chowder... mmmmm......
My sister's girls love my clam chowder ... I had to make it for them about a month ago when I was over there and then when we got home I had to make a pot for us! One of our fav's
It really does look good! Except now my flatscreen has scratches on it from my knife and fork. Oh well...
Oh dear.....
Ummm... Pluto?
close...but no
Not much jumping was required, unfortunately.
All my eggs are now on Ottawa....GO SENS!!!
Me too! Oh, wait... um... nevermind.
That's priceless! Great shot!
I know....my little princess....she is such a great little girl!
Queen, Queen, Queen. What are we going to do with you?
I know...such a disappointment....I won't disappoint on the next trip, I promise!
You must really like that boy!
I know, right? He had no idea.....
And such an attractive shot, too!
Typical guy. "Hey! Get a shot of this a... um... donkey."
Well he called it something else and I said "great, a pretty girl and 2 #$%$#$
What? KP missions are great! What could be better than a KP mission?
You really had to ask
Okay. You got me there.
So delish!
Thanks for the update(s)!![]()
Hawaii....how was it![]()
So true! We really need to get another one in...not sure now if it will happen before our May trip...but maybe right after we get back
Love that MM actually stopped and smelled the roses, how cute!
How awesome that you met Gaston! I thought it was usually the Beast with Belle in France.
Too funny that the server at the Ditch recognized you, but hey you're on vacation, you deserve to enjoy yourself! Have these magaritas replaced the GGS on your favourite drinks list?
Such a lovely morning for you guys in EPCOT and wow, there really weren't many crowds! *gasp* You guys got really lucky this trip!to MouseGears! Absolutely love it there, probably one of the best shops in Disney
LOL @ Jeff's Jessica Simpson impersonation all you needed were the short shorts, boots and it would be spot-on but I'd rather that didn't happen as I'm sure you'd agree
![]()
We sure did get lucky with the crowds....timing was everything on this trip! Yes....no need to be seeing Jeff dressed up like that
to the mid-morning snack, always a plus! (; And I love that shirt, totally fits you. Can't wait to see the one you actually got
Great picture of France, such a lovely pavilion (and country I'm sure)! I can't believe you guys got to meet Gaston! So jealous, he is NEVER out, such a rare find there.
And Jeff should've probably turned around after mocking his muscles and just squeezed his arms then see who really has the bigger biceps lol Hopefully Jasmine didn't fall for Gaston's affections though
Or Jeff for Belle...
France is one of my favorite pavillions to visit, it's so quaint and lovely! I told Jeff what you said about Gaston's muscles and he wishes he thought of that! No, Jasmine can smell a player a mile away
Again, lovely pictures around World Showcase. As a whole I think that it is the most photogenic section of a park (though Cinderella's Castle is the most photogenic landmark out of all the parks in my opinion) with so much to photograph and so many beautiful photographs already taken.Anyways...
to the Kim Possible Mission, so mad I missed that on my last two trips
And that's so funny how the CMs over at the Ditch recognize you guys! Someday I hope Disney CMs could recognize me like that
I love the fact that we could do what we wanted and the kids had the option of doing something they wanted....keeps everyone happy
Can't wait to read more!![]()
No she hadn't heard that! She is so excited, oh, and I am supposed to tell you that we're cheering for the Flyers in the playoffs (you know, since our Jets aren't in themI've been absent from the boards for too long! I heard "Canda....my Canada" in the car today (Yes, it was my playlist...) and waited to pop over to say hi to my friend!
Aww thanks Debby! Kinda like us everytime we were watching the Flyers play....thinking of you guys!
Thank you for the lovely walk in Epcot. I am so excited to get back. I just want to sit in the parks. I want to try to absorb the memories like Frederick the mouse. (do you know that story by Leo Lionni? - Frederick stored the memories for the other mice!)
I can't wait to do that too! We both love to grab a drink and just sit and people watch and take it all in! No, I don't know that story....I will have to google it!
You must be bouncing as your trip is sooo soon!
Did Jasmine hear the news? In June they are putting Starbucks in Disneyland; they've signed on to put them in the 4 parks at the world too, but no date as of yet.
GreatWell you'll just have to read my TR to find out. I slipped in a side trip to Aulani to make it official DIS-able.
(coming soon to a DISboard near you)
Please please please send me a PM when you start it! AULANI
I'm in!
I know, what was I thinking? Clearly, I temporarily lost my mindI can not believe you passed france without getting a slushie. That is just wrong. As punishment now you will have to go back and get two!
Ugh I was so behind! Why does life have to get in the way of the DIS?!
I am so excited we got to meet you all! We are definitely planning on an August trip next year so we can be there at the same time againI plan on having my first GGS with you!
Great TR! I am so glad you all had such a great trip!
