Hi, sorry, not sure if this has been asked already - If you don't have a savannah view, is there still a place to sit and watch the animals?

There are a few spots at AKL where you can do that, we love to sit outside with a book and watch the animals!

Hi, arriving Friday for a week at AKL, first time staying there. Are the refrigerators like the ones at the value/mods? As in are they the low temp beverage cooler types? Thanks! Anything else I should know?

Yes, there are mini-fridges in the rooms.

We had breakfast and dinner at Boma and both were fantastic. Lots of food offerings and I finally got to try POG juice

Hi everyone. I’m using Instacart for grocery delivery. When I type in address for AKL is just says “parking lot” is that right?

I am also looking for this information. Does anyone know the address for AKL? Never used Instacart before.

Going to Disney 10/10-10/15. I am the grandmother traveling with my daughter, and grandchildren. Have never stayed at this resort and frankly not sure where we will be. We booked a Savanna so that my grandchildren could wake to the animals. I do not like what I have been reading about no sightings. I also do not like all the negative comments about Disney in general. It's been a few years since my last visit, and 18 years for my daughter. The grandchildren have never been. They are ages 8 & 5. I realize that now is not to best time to visit, but my daughter wants to. She is a teacher, and this will be Fall Break for all. Thank you for any help!

I was at Jambo in August in a standard (people pen) view on the Sunset Savannah. My mom is a super early riser and saw lots of animals around 5am each day. By the time I got up around 7 or 8am the savannah was empty. In the afternoon we saw quite a few animals and after dinner, around 6pm was when the savannah was full. It really depends on what time you are looking. We didn't see zebras until our 4th or 5th day and only saw 1 ankole cattle (my favorite) wander over twice during our 8 day stay. It really is luck of the draw of which animals you will see and when. We've been lucky enough to get a room around this same spot on the Sunset Savannah 3 times in the past few years. It is a great place to see giraffes since they hang their food from the trees located near the watering hole. In past visits we saw zebras there every day, but they were quite rare this trip. This was also the only trip that I've seen ankole cattle on this savannah.



As you walk to and from your room you will most likely see a bunch of animals on the savannah. There are benches to stop and watch the animals - with young children you will most likely need a break walking back to your room as the hallways are very long!
