The one we use is actually called ‘white noise’. Simple. . But I usually prefer the sound of the pink noise or brown noise. Ha. But the app is white noise.

Just booked our first stay at AKL! I let my 4 yr old decide, and he is very excited about the bunk bed in our room. We'll be there Jan 28-Feb 2. Really looking forward to it! Also, Jiko is one of our fav restaurants, and it will be nice to be able to finally eat there without having to take two buses to get there, lol.

Just got back from a Christmas week staying at AKL for the first time! Everyone loved it. In the past we've stayed at Port Orleans, Coronado Springs, and Pop Century, so this was a really nice upgrade. The lobby is beautiful and even had a PhotoPass person there one day. We ate at the Mara every morning and it was very filling. We weren't supposed to have an animal view room, but we were surprised to find that we could see animals from our balcony! Not sure what happened there - were we upgraded? Either way, it was a great stay. We had 1 queen + bunkbeds which was the perfect setup for us. The buses seemed to take a while in the mornings but what else is new.

We have a standard king w/ daybed room booked for late January. I’m trying to prepare my room request fax. Touring plans hotel room finder shows just 7 rooms in this category. If that accurate?? If it is, I’ll be thrilled the view from any one of those rooms! if anyone has more insight would appreciate it.

Not specific to a room type. They did not have rooms I stayed in listed accurately. I did not request anything, but I did check the rooms while there to see what they were listed on room finder.

There may be more King+daybed rooms that just have not been identified.

Hello from Jambo House!!!!! We checked in at 7:50 am after our red eye flight from CA, and we just got our room text at about 10:20am. We have a lovely Savanna view studio on the 5th floor, quite close to the elevators, and our bags were just delivered while posting this. So far a great start to our stay!

The Jambo house DVC villas are located on the 6th floor (club/concierge villas) and the 5th floor (value, standard and savanna view.)

Hello! we are looking to stay at AKL Villas - Jambo house in January 2019. We will be traveling with our cousin & his family and I'm putting together a presentation on all aspects of our trip. Now, I'm trying to give as accurate a price estimate as possible but I'm seeing some huge price variations between nights in a value studio.

I'm using the January 2018 rates as a reference but I'm seeing that it jumps from $325 to $583 from January 10th - January 11th. Do these rates change/fluctuate as supply/demand is updated in the system? We will be booking as soon as 2019 packages come out. It's odd to me because it goes back down to $325 on Friday, January 12th when Fridays are usually a higher rate.

Please help!

You may be seeing a promotion end as of the dates you are looking at, or reduced availability due to Marathon Weekend this weekend. If you are not running avoid the marathon as it brings much higher crowds. Next year it's Jan 9-13.

I was using the Mousesavers site and then seeing the numbers on the WDW website so I was a bit confused.
We are planning to arrive on the last day of the Marathon and leave on the Saturday of MLK weekend. We aren't planning any parks on our arrival date so not worried about crowds that day. Also, our last full day will be at DHS and are pretty sure it'll be a half day for our group so hoping to avoid feeling the MLK weekend crowds too much.

I don't have a lot of experience, but the value studios are usually booked completely by DVC owners and not available to book through Disney. If you're not a DVC AK owner, you shouldn't count on a value studio.

Who knows how DVC deposits rooms?! It seems to make no sense. But we have booked a value villa cash before so you can cross your fingers and wait. We had better luck booking cash than with DVC since we own elsewhere haha!
