Ohh boy, I booked one night at Jambo and one night at Kidani (there were not two nights available together) via Dave's Rentals. I have a deluxe studio at one and a value studio at the other.

I will be travelling with my 3 kids. My DD and I can share a bed, but the two boys need separate sleeping areas. I was just on-line and it says they sleep 4 with 2 queen beds or a bed and a pull out couch.

Is there any way to request a bunk bed room or something with more beds?

DVC only has one type of studio and that is one queen size bed and one pullout coach there are no additional beds to request period... some of the rooms of a pull down bed under the TV but not AKL rooms. For similar points you can ask to change to Saratoga Springs which does have the pull down bed.

I suspect Dave's policies won't allow you to switch to a different resort, but it doesn't hurt to ask. Contact them today, as DVC resorts book quickly and waiting limits your options.

If you can't change, your only option would be to bring your own bedding, as the resort won't provide it. An air mattress, maybe?

For sure you cannot get a bunk bed room. That is a regular room, not DVC.

Sounds like a total pain to only have one night at each place, but from what I understand, if you booked with David's you cannot cancel.

What you have booked will offer one queen size bed and a double sofa sleeper. I highly doubt there will be floor space for a aerobed, so I'd let your kids know now they are going to be sharing a bed.

The value room doesn't have a lot of space, so if you keep the couch folded up as a couch...one kid could sleep on the couch and then there would be room for an aerobed. But it depends how big/old the boys are?

Kidani studio is a bit bigger, so there may be room for an aerobed with the couch pulled out.

No, SSR does not have the murphy bed at this point. Only BRV, GFV, BWV, BCV, PVB have the murphy bed in the studio.

There are many different types of studios at WDW. OKW has two real queen beds, no sleeper sofa. SSR, CCV, BLT, AKV-JH/KV one queen bed and one double sleeper sofa. GFV and PVB, one queen bed, one queen sleeper sofa, one bunk sized murphy bed. BWV, BCV, BRV one queen bed, one double sleeper sofa, one bunk sized murphy bed.

CCV and AKV-JH Value studio - hard four, no extra.

Both KV and JH only have one queen bed and one double sleeper sofa. No two queen beds in the studios. It's going to be very hard to put an air bed in the value studio because they are smaller. The queen bed is located next to the window and the double sleeper sofa is between the bed and the wall dividing the sleeping area from the bathroom area. The value studio is about three feet shorter in depth than the standard or savanna studio. I'd just plan on the two boys learning how to share a bed for one night (value studio are only at JH).

As for changing your reservation, you need to go back and read your agreement with David. He offers no cancellations or changes.

If the boys won't share a bed, I think the only way it'd work is to bring an aerobed. Leave the couch as a couch; let one boy sleep on that and the other on the aerobed. It'll be tight in the value studio, but I think it'll work.

it'll fit a twin aerobed, someone on the board confirmed it. Also there are small kid sized aerobed that's portable and small.

how old are the kids, would youngest sleep in packnplay?

Stupid question will they even allow 5? Or are DVCs an exception. I know at a standard room for 4 you cant add a 5th on a matress

The OP is not looking for make room for 5. There are 4 of them, but the two boys want separate sleeping spaces.

In some DVC villas that do not have actual sleep surfaces that accommodate 5 people, it is permissible to have a 5th person on a reservation which has been booked on points (not cash reservations). In those cases, no linens are provided for the 5th person. You can bring your own cot or air mattress or even triple up the kiddos on the larger bed if they are small children.

However, as has already been pointed out, the OP is not looking to add a 5th person. They just want individual sleep surfaces for the 2 boys. IMO, the solution would be to keep the sofa bed folded and sleep one child there while providing the other one with an air mattress or cot. But it's going to be very tight in a value studio. I wouldn't even book one of those with more than 2 people because they are so small.

Is there room to pull out the sofa and use the sofa cushions (with extra sheets) as a separate sleeping area? I may have done that at a few places in my younger days. Something in my memory is telling me that the cushions stay attached to the sofa though.

Not in a value studio. It's a tight squeeze with the sofa open. Like I said, I would not book it for more than 2 people even though it will accommodate 4. It really is that small in comparison to other DVC studios.

My last trip was in a "deluxe studio" at BWV, and there were 3 of us. It was awful; never again. Way too tight for comfort for me.
