Don't fret none my Disney Darlins we are going to the World in September. :earsboy: However, I am in charge of planning a Jamaican vacation for about 3 couples in February. I have done some research so far, but would love some input from my Disney Family! We are definitely looking for an all inclusive resort, and we are thinking of a more moderately priced place as none of us have yet to win the lottery. :rotfl: Any suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated!

The beaches around Negril and Montego Bay would seem like a decent place to start. They both look beautiful, but sorry, I don't know much about the island's resorts.

I've never been there, but don't you mean 2011? I clicked on this thread to see pictures :).

My husband and I have been to a few of the Sandals resorts in Jamaica. ( Negril, Whitehouse, Montego Bay, Ocho Rios and Dunns River) We love them. Some are more moderately priced than others. Sandals Negril or Whitehouse are our favorite.

My husband and I are leaving in 2 weeks for Secrets Wild Orchid in Montego Bay. Its a new resort that opened last March so there isn't much feedback yet.

We've also been to Couples Negril. Nice but not as glitzy as Sandals, but more reasonably priced.

Krista - You are absolutely right I did mean 2011!! Sorry, I was a little tired last night!

DH and I stayed at Sandal's Nigril 11 years ago. It was VERY nice. Accomadations wonderful, delicious food, nice beach. That is where DH developed his love of SCUBA diving. He did the resort course and was hooked!! I have seen their website within the past month or so and it looks even nicer now!!!!

We stayed at Sandals Montego Bay for our honeymoon in 1998. We loved it.

Negril would be where I'd be looking. Check out the Charela Inn. It's not all inclusive but you can get meals included and it's very small, low key and a charming inn but cheap compared to the all inclusives. I loved it. Again-it is NOT an all inclusive resort but everyone I've ever sent there loved it if they knew what to expect.

Rock House(as stated below) is pretty cool as well and unusual. I like the proximity to the beach though of the Charela.

We love Negril, the sunsets are fabulous. When we went we stayed at The Rock House on the cliffs. I believe that they do offer an all inclusive package if you like but we opted to stay there with out the package. We had the best time, met some wonderful people and we found some wonderful places to eat while there.

Here is a link the hotel.....

Decided to definitely go to Negril, but still indecisive on resorts. I have narrowed it down to several....Sandals and RIU being top contenders. I hate being the chosen "travel agent" of the group. I'm always worried that the other people aren't going to be happy with what I have picked. They are all pretty easy going, so I'm sure it'll be fine. :)

We got married at Beaches Sandy Bay in Negril and then moved over to Sandals Negril. We LOVED it! Our room was awesome, food was great, and we loved the whole set up of the resort.

I would be careful with the Rui. I know 2 people who traveled there at 2 different times of the year and there were a ton of kids there both times. Some times kids don't bother people on vacation. Gees I have 2 of my own but when DH and I go on our couple only beach vacations I don't want to hear a 2 yo toddler screaming at dinner. Or someone's little snowflake splashing me in the pool.

As I said maybe it doesn't bother you but for DH and I , I would rather pay a little extra for the peace, quiet and relaxation of a couples only, adults only resort.

Ooohhh good to know! Thanks! We do have children, and I agree with you 100%. If I'm going w/out my kids I don't want to listen to everyone's screaming kids. Especially, when I have left my screaming teenagers at home!:rotfl:
