Jake and his crew are part of the Disney Junior Live show at DHS showing several times daily.

I have seen pics of a meetable Jake character, but from what I understand, it's still a good ways off before he becomes a reality in the parks. Even then, he may start only at Hollywood & Vine (ala the way they have introduced Special Agent Oso).

We just got back from our trip. My son is very into pirates, and he wore his Jake and the Neverland Pirates shirt to his Pirate League appointment. One of the CMs there told us that the Pirate's League was going to start doing a Jake option in December. Not sure when your trip is, but that could be fun!
