Ok one of my best friends turns 18 in a month but the guy she's "talking" to is only 15. . .what do you think about this?
I think it's fine they both really like each other and get along great. I was just wondering what you thought.

Therefore that term is in regards directly to a sexual relationship between someone over the age of 18 and someone under the age of 18. While some may apply the term to any relationship involving someone over 18 and someone under 18, the term is technically applicable only to discussing statutory rape laws. You cannot get sent to jail for dating someone under the age of 18 if you are over the age of 18. You can get sent to jail for having sex with someone under the age of 18 when you are over the age of 18 hence the term "Jailbait".

no its not some states have laws of 3 years and stuff. 18 year old can date 15 year old 19 and 16.

As did I. In some states with SR laws there is an age gap where it is allowed if one is over and one is under. Its not a real black and white issue in most states. It only becomes black and white once both parties are over AOC. Until then there are alot of different factors that can make it rape or not.

Ok NOTHING sexual is ganna happen between the two of them and their parents are totally fine with it. I just wanted to know what other people thought of an 18 yr old girl dating a 15 yr old boy. Guess I used "jailbait" too loosely. sorry!
