Jaguars vs. Patriots Game Thread!

When you cheat you are.

Even if I were to give you (which I don't, btw) the first half of the season-opening Jets game when the camera was taken away, please explain for all of us to hear precisely how the Patriots have cheated in the sixteen games since and what competitive advantage they had as a result while going undefeated.

We'll wait.

Here's a hint in the meantime. Jealousy ain't pretty. It's a shame you can't merely enjoy some of the best football ever played.

Riiiiighhhhht.....that's why they are 17-0 right now...not becuase:

When you study every game film continuously as if you were studying for the bar exam you are.

When you are a TEAM and not single players marching on that field, regardless of popularity, you are.

When you have something to prove and you go out there and do it..YES. They are that good.

GO PATS.

Highly enjoyable game and should shut up questions of our running game. Maroney looked awesome averaging more than 5 yards per carry yesterday.

I'm rooting for San Digeo today but I'm a realist, I fully expect Peyton and Co. to be heading to Foxboro next Sunday :)

Bill should have been expelled from the game. This was his third infraction, he had two warnings before. He got off with a slap on the wrist.

I am sure this is not the only cheating they are guilty of.

In other words, he can't explain how the Pats have supposedly cheated. :cool2:

Does this make you feel better about your teams dismal performance compared to the Pats? (and I have NO idea who your team is) It's all sour grapes. Pathetic really that other fans can't appreciate a fantastic TEAM having a fantastic season.

If I were to cheat in school, I would get an F or expelled. Should be the same in sports.

You're talking about something that was taken in the FIRST QUARTER of the FIRST GAME of the season. Even if you do not count the first Quarter of the Jets game, the Pats would have won that game 31-14 (New England was up 7-0 at the end of the first quarter and won the game 38-14)

The sour grapes of non-pats fans is getting so old

Even if the league had decided to give them a "loss" for that first game, what the heck difference does it make now? You don't think every team has been watching them like a hawk since then? Are you saying they are still cheating?
If so how and what proof is there? Do you really honestly believe other teams aren't doing the same thing or worse?
If you cheated in school you would get an F for that test. I have NEVER heard of a kid being expelled for cheating once and if they manage to get an A by the end of the year, they get to keep the A, nobody says "Oh well they earned an A but since they got an F on one test for cheating the A doesn't count"

What he said :thumbsup2

I guess we can put an * next to his Coach of the Year award too :rolleyes1 If he is such a horrible coach and only gets to the top cheating, it's a wonder he was selected for this HONOR!!!!

Another GREAT game under the belt, 2 more to go! It's a shame when people don't admit they are a great team and only try to find fault in why they are succeeding. I wish I would stop hearing people chanting the "I hate the Patriots" mantra and give them just a little credit for the accomplishments they have had this year with all the records they have broken, wins they have had, and just all around playing.

Not really. Jacksonville spent most of the game in a nickel defense geared entirely to stopping the pass, inviting the Patriots to run the ball to prevent them from getting any big pass plays. It worked - no long touchdowns, only one catch for Moss for 14 yards. It also means you deliberately give up a lot of rushing yards.

Maroney is a very good runner, but the Patriots on the whole are not a great running team. They are a great passing team. Nobody was going to beat Brady yesterday.

Still, the Patriots defense can be had. The Jaguars dropped two touchdown passes and gave Brady a short field for one of their scores (after the first half fumble near our own 20 yard line). At worst the Jaguars should have score 28 points. Still probably would have lost, but the Patriots defense is not nearly as good as their offense, so a team like Green Bay would worry me if I were a Pats fan. But with Tom Brady at the helm, I'd only be a little worried. :)

Hopefully next year the Jaguars will make it to the playoffs without 14 players on injured reserve - lost too many starters this year.
