Whats the best way to thoroughy clean out the jacuzzi tub and jets in your villa when you arrive? I am sure that Mousekeeping does a great job but this is something I will be doing myself before we use it as well.

Any advice would be appreciated - thanks! :goodvibes

I knew I saw this question not too long ago....here is a similar thread: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2471698&highlight=cleaning+jacuzzi+tub. I was wondering the same thing (cleaning the jacuzzi) since we arrive on Sunday. Looks like dishwasher soap is the way to go.

Just PLEASE make sure you use the dishwasher detergent (the powder kind meant to go inside the dishwasher). Do NOT use the liquid dish soap (the kind meant to wash dishes in the sink.

If you use the liquid dish soap and run the jets, the suds will overflow out of the tub and in to your room. It would be a disaster.

We have a larger jacuzzi tub at home and we always clean it by filling it with water adding a cup of bleach and letting it run for 10 minutes. This is what our owner's manual said to do. We have been doing this for 10 years and we have never had a problem with the tub and it works just as it did when we first moved in.

Yes, here too, but auto dishwasher detergent is mostly bleach, so that's why it works as well. In fact, our Jacuzzi directions mentioned that as well.

Just be sure to run a rinse tub of water as well if you are sensitive. That auto dish soap can be pretty rough on your skin!

We clean ours by filling it full of water, getting in, soaping up our bodies, and swishing around. Works every time.

We tried that with the jacuzzi tub we had in June at AKV (Jambo) but it didn't work very well. After I ran the detergent through we still had black ooze dripping out of the jets. :scared: So we just stuck with showers.

It took so much water to cover the jets and the tub was so LOUD I decided it just wasn't worth cleaning it over and over.

There is a product that Lowes Home Improvement sells that is just for jacuzzi tubs. It comes in a package of two treatments. It takes about 20 minutes to go through the two step process but it really does a great job at cleaning the jets. They keep it in the bath tub section of the store.

Does anyone know how mousekeeping cleans the jacuzzi? I have broken out with a severe rash at times, while I am at Disney. I have tried to figure it out. I am on alot of medicines for rheumatoid arthritis, and I have chalked it up to one of my meds, but now you have me thinking that it could be whatever they use to clean it or the bleach is not rinsed out well, if they use bleach. Last trip I washed all the sheets and towels with my own detergent thinking it was that. I did not break out this last trip. Any help would be appreciated.
