I went to the RV show here in town today since I'm going to Disney tomorrow. The show was nowhere near the size as last years and if I was in the market for a new camper I'd be a happy camper. I saw some nice Class A motorhomes for less that 100k that were marked way down I suppose because they were 08's.

There were some great deals to be had. I talked to the manager of the dealer where I got mine from and he said the only thing holding his sales down were the banks. He said even good credit buyers are struggling to get loans.

Looking at prices from last year was incredibly different. One type of camper that seems to have gone up is the pups. They are holding their own I suppose because of the fuel/expense of having a camper these days. There was an article in the paper about people actually trading down and not up. I guess that's the trend these days.

We actually went yesterday! Matt tried to talk me into letting him get a fith wheel cause it was marked down so much - and he would have space for his cart in hte back!!!! But we just bought the pop up last month- so we're good for now... he'll have to makedo w/o the surround sound and garage for the next few years.... lol... there were some great deals to be had though...

Boston cancelled their show this year and it was a big one for the north east.

Donnie,

We went to the Birmingham RV show last weekend at it was a lot smaller as well; not as many dealers this year.

The Class A's were marked about 40% under "MSRP". Travel trailers were heavily discounted too. We didn't have many popups to see but there was a T@B knock-off with an awful floor plan.

Some good deals are to be had out there if you are in a cash position.

We went to the RV show in Houston last month. No real discounts campers are just high around here.

O they were still high but they were also marked down. Some Motor homes were more them our house.

The big toy hauler I liked was still 40,000 and I would have to get a new truck too. What a shame :rotfl2:

we went to an open house at an rv dealer here. the campers were all marked at either 30 or 40% off. most were pretty good deals.

they didn't think they would be very busy. they were surprised at how many people really showed up.

folks are looking for things to do nearby that doesn't cost much. so, yeah, they will show up. especially, when they are doing a free lunch ;) .
