Jacksonville-Could I do it?

Funny one this one Its just announced today my favourite band KISS are playing Jacksonville on Dec 5th at 8pm I arrive in Orlando at 3.40 Pm
Could I
Clear customs
drop off wife and 2 DDs at hotel on I Drive
then get to Jacksonville -All in just over 3 hours

Or should I be realistic and forget it and sulk for the rest of my Life!!
Technically it loks a bit too much so realisticaly it probalbly will be,

Hi Ian

We have driven up to Jacksonville on 2 occasions to watch the NFL. If my memory serves me correctly, it takes a good 2.5 hours to get to the Alltell Stadium which is just over the river. Where abouts are Kiss playing?

I think you may be pushing it. Also don't forget you then have the long drive back which from experience is not that great late at night - it seems even longer than the journey there!

I hate to spoil your fun but I have heard from two people recently who have just returned from Orlando and in both cases they said that it took them a lot longer than an hour to clear customs and get the car (this was using BA into MCO - not Sandford). I realise that it is very variable but I think you are being a little optimistic.

Hi Everyone Thanks your confirming which I thought deep down all along ,
Denise its a place called the new arena So I dont even know whee that is so that ould take time!
Red, Their not playing encores on this tour their co-headlining with Aerosmith Both bands playing 80 min sets and KISS are on first,Hitting stage at 8.30,If I was late and only caught Aerosmith that would be worse than not going,

law of averages I think When I was last in Orlando in 96 I saw KISS at Orlando Arena All my mates back home were green with envy This time they got the last laugh...
I gotto make sure this doesnt spoil my holiday Why oh why didnt we book the hol to fly out the 4th..............

If everything was "on time" and went perfectly I reckon you'd just about squeeze it, but rarely in my experience does that happen. It would also make it a MASSIVELY long day as you'd have a long flight, arrive in Fl 8.30-9.00 UK time, drive three hours( approaching midnight) couple of hours for the concert/getting back to the car (2.00 am) 3 hours back to Orlando? getting back at about 5 in the morning UK time with a lot of driving when your body and brain are saying SLEEEEEEP .
