Jackie's Trip Report~~Married Sept. 28th **FINAL UPDATE!

How was your experience with Peddles? I've heard mixed reviews, but I've been emailing back and forth with Vicki and she seems very nice. I think I'm going to go with her for my bouquet & wedding party flowers.

I had a good experience with Vicki. I won't say it was completely perfect, there were some small issues, but nothing that would have really affected my overall day. I did have a few issues with her not wanting to put hydrangeas in my bouquet and I had to insist on it. (she said they would wilt badly and she was right, but as soon as I put them into water they perked right back up). When I was talking to her about the 2 arrangements to be put on the pedestals, I had to ask her NOT to make them look like funeral arrangements. You know, the ones that look like you could carry them from your wedding into the funeral home....a little morbid! She said it was a good thing I said that because she definitely would have made them look like those types of sprays. I asked her if she had some photos of other arrangements and she said no. I think that if I was a florist, I would have a LOT of photos that I could email to my clients to ask, "is this close to what you were looking for?" When she delivered my flowers, for some reason she made a toss bouquet and I didn't ask for one as I wasn't doing a toss. I asked her to put some color into my sister's bouquet since she had different colors in her dress and I found her to be a tad bit "unimaginative".

All that being said, the flowers turned out just fine and very pretty!! The hydrangeas were gorgeous and I loved the baby blue hue. The bouquets were beautiful and the arrangements turned out great after I explained to her what I was looking for. I thought the corsages could have used something with a little more color, they were a little boring. She was very nice and attentive on the wedding day. I felt her customer service that day was great. When I visited her studio, it is in a shed outside her house and it appears that she works completely alone. I can see how that is great for customer one-on-one, but I can't imagine that works well for bigger weddings when it might be overwhelming!

Overall I would recommend her. Her style is "trust me, they'll be beautiful" and some people, like me, don't do well with that. I want to know exactly what I'm getting. She's right though, the flowers were beautiful.

Any other questions, let me know!

It's strange that she didnt want to put hydrangeas in your bouquet, her description of the "Perfect Posies" package says "featuring hydrangeas". Thanks for sharing your experience, it helps me out a lot. Your bouquet is gorgeous, and Vicki's prices are amazing compared to Disney!

Hello again everyone

Sorry it's been a few days since the last segment. We just decided to book a real honeymoon and go on a cruise out of Port Canaveral. We leave this Sunday! So we've been busy doing all that planning stuff again! We've never been on a cruise, so it'll be a first for us.

Anyway, we're to our final day of the trip report. Adam and I met my dad who was staying at the Hilton Grand Vacation Club near the outlets and then drove to EPCOT for the Food and Wine Festival. We met my mom, sister and step father there as well. This was to be an interesting day....my mom and stepfather walking around Disney with my dad (her ex husband) and dad's girlfriend. Slightly strange, but hey....this was all for me I guess!

We arrived and parked at the Boardwalk because we figured #1. we were going to the F&W festival anyway and that was close to the boardwalk and #2, we'd save $20+ on parking. Worked out just fine and everyone got to ride the water taxis, which they thought was cool.

We arrived at EPCOT around noon or so and went to guest services at the world gateway to get our "just married" buttons. We had bought our bride and groom ears a week before our wedding at the store at DTD. Here's a picture of us when we first arrived.. (people were already congratulating us, perfect strangers!)

We found the F&W fest to be crowded already unfortunately. It was the first weekend, so I guess it was to be expected. We stopped in Greece and had greek salads and spanakopita. A few friendly ducks stopped by our table to have some food too. Then we were on to Chile and a couple other countries where we tried some weird stuff. I had a great coconut flan in Chile I believe. It was delish!

My father didn't quite "get" the Disney experience. He was wondering when we were going to really EAT. And we weren't planning on really eating, other than country hopping. So finally we gave in and told him to go to Mexico and get some food at their regular walk up restaurant, to which he was pleased! We just stopped in the pavilion and went on the new Rio Del Tiempo (which my husband worked on the renovations last year, he works for a company that is outsourced by Disney). Unfortunately it started raining and my mom and my dad's girlfriend aren't the "I'm gonna get wet and that's ok" sort of women! LOL. So we ducked into a store and I had the cashier take our picture. We were crouched in the store with about five billion other people. We contemplated buying umbrellas and ponchos, then decided to brave it.

We continued on around the world, stopping in a few places here and there to grab some more food. Then the wind started to pick up and it was difficult to keep my ears and veil on! It got to be quite funny (and annoying!).

We paused in a few places to enjoy the scenery. My father found the monkeys to be fun to play with...

We stopped in Italy for a tomato/mozz salad and posed for a quick pic...

Posed for another picture just before dodging the rain again. We ended up in Germany drinking beer and eating weinerschnizle with prezel rolls...mmmm...

We sat for a few minutes in Morocco to rest and while we were there, the genie came out with Jasmine so we rushed over there to grab a photo!

After this, of course we got another shower. At this time we all bought umbrellas! UGH! It was raining on and off...trying to rain on our parade! We were pretty much done with our tour around the world so we headed over to future world for a bit. On our way over, it starts raining AGAIN so we went into Innoventions and posed for this silly picture....We were all laughing so hard, it was a great moment!

BAck outside of Innoventions, Adam and I switched hats and he wore my bride ears.....I tried to get him to keep them on but he said they hurt his head...

This pretty much concluded our trip to EPCOT. My father was getting cranky so we sent him back to his hotel and my mom's family stayed behind and we went to wait in line to get on Soarin' since my mother INSISTED on going on it! The queue said 60 minutes, but it turned out to be 40, a nice surprise.

Then on our way out, of course it starts pouring AGAIN! This time my step dad bought ponchos and off they went!

The last segment of my report will cover when Adam and I went to the Magic Kingdom on Monday. Overall, we had a good day despite the raindrops. We enjoyed getting congratulated a billion times!

Thanks for reading!

Well, I guess this is it. The final day in the saga!

After our day at EPCOT, it was time to bid most of the family goodbye. My mom, step father and sister stayed behind for an extra day. We had reservations at Emeril's Tchoup Chop at the Royal Pacific for the next night. We had SUCH a good meal there....mmmm!! For those of you who are a little adventurous, I would highly recommend this restaurant. I had been there several times before, but the food was exceptional this night. All that was missing was Emeril himself!

On Monday, everyone was gone officially. We were happy to see everyone, however we were just as happy to see everyone go home so that we could have some alone time without all that running around! And what did we choose to do??? We went to the Magic Kingdom and then later back to EPCOT, which we were unaware was celebrating their anniversary!

We were surprised to see all the Halloween decor up, I don't know why we were surprised, but we were. I guess it's hard for us native northerners to think about Halloween when it's 98 degrees outside!

We decided we really wanted to go on BTMRR so we trekked on over there only to find out it was closed! And it had been closed for quite sometime...oh well. So we went to the Christmas shop over in Liberty Square because I really really wanted to buy an ornament for our tree in honor of our wedding weekend. So I bought the Mickey and Minnie ball ornament with them in their wedding attire and had it personalized with our wedding date. It is adorable and the perfect memento.

We headed over to Haunted Mansion to check it out with the renovations. It looks great! I was happy to see they got rid of the flourescent spider web...which was so dated and ugly! It was pretty cool and the sound is sooo much better.

After this we headed over to space mountain...CLOSED! We were not having too much luck! So we went on Buzz instead and then went to the new MOnster's Inc. comedy show next door. We had never been to that so that was cool to see. A funny interactive attraction.

We stopped for a few pics in front of the castle..

AT this point we were getting hungry and I was craving kaki agi udon noodles from the Japan pavilion at EPCOT. **note to self....it is an extremely long haul from MK to the Japanese pavilion at EPCOT only to get food.

We went to the TTC and grabbed the car and we drove to EPCOT. Right after we walked in, we looked up and the sky was turning extremely dark...actually it was kinda greenish. I told Adam it looked exceptionally bad. Now remember, we are native Floridians now for 3 years, we know the difference between bad storm and Oh MY GOD BAD STORM. And this was the latter. So like any normal disney fan (against our gut feeling that this was a bad storm) went and bought ponchos. By the time we got 1/2 way around the world, the sky opened up and it rained like it never rained before!! I mean major deluge, like poncho, umbrellas...there wasn't a darn thing that would have kept us dry. So what did we do? Like idiots, we continued walking in the monsoon. By the time we reached Japan, the only thing that wasn't soaked on me was my torso...everything else literally needed to be rung out. WHAT WERE WE THINKING???? :sad2:

So we ate our food and tried to dry off a little. Thank God I had my disney crocs on as they were amazing in the rain and dried off very quickly. Adam's sneakers on the other hand, majorly soaked. We headed back over to Future world....wet, cold ....and realized there was this huge line at the pin station. So like any tourist we get into line for fear that we might miss something good! Turns out EPCOTs anniversary was that day and they were selling special pins. So we bought one just for the heck of it!

Well I guess that is the end of our story. Hope everyone enjoyed it and our pictures. :)

Thanks so much for reading and allowing me to share.

Jackie

i love your pink crocs! they're so fun! i remember living in florida and being able to tell the difference between storms too! i was a lifeguard at the bw, and i would sit at the top of the slide at the pool and watch the storms come over tower of terror...so cool!

i love your pink crocs! they're so fun!!

Thank you! They're Disney crocs :) I vowed that if I ever bough a pair of crocs, they wouldnt be "ordinary" so I bought the Disney ones. Although I am hooked now and just bought my second pair from zappos for free overnight shipping and no sales tax! yay! Unfortunately they are an ordinary linen color, but that was so I can match them to more outfits.

Ok, I'm sure that was far more info than you needed about my crocs..so I'll shut up! ;) LOL!
