19th July

Woke up this morning with no plans – I hear you all gasp in disbelief !!! So this ended up with the kids playing in the pool and the rest of us sitting by the pool and relaxing. DH and I popped to the local Publix and picked up some much needed supplies and then decided to head to DTD as the kids wanted to do the sprite boats. It was a very hot day today and everyone seemed to be flagging slightly.

Arrived at DTD about 12 and went straight to hire the boats – the kids were going out with DH and Granda and I was searching out the air conditioning!!! The only downside of going in the smaller boats as everyone has to wear a big plastic padded life jacket which made me break into a sweat just looking at them.

They loaded up into the boats and they were off. They absolutely loved these and they now go faster that the older model sprite boats so fun was had!!!

I stopped by the pearl factory as I decided to buy an oyster to see what kind of pearl I would get. This cost $15.99 and is great fun. I opened mine to find a lovely pink pearl which was 8mm and was worth (according to the chart $100 – took this with a pinch of salt). I then decided I wanted it set into a pendent as I love pearl jewellery . I chose a lovely white gold twist necklace which was set for me there and then. By the time this was done the sailors and come aground looking very red about the face. An ice cream was called for. We all went for some ice cream sundaes which went down very well.

Once we had finished those we went for a look in the Rainforest Café shop and DS bough t a monkey puppet and a little cuddly frog for his sister.

They then wanted a shot on the carrousel

and I had a look around the Christmas shop and bought a couple of ornaments for the tree. The kids then wanted a look in the Lego shop and spent a while wandering about there – the Lego Store is fantastic value for money and am now kicking myself I did not buy more.

Everyone was hungry now as we had missed lunch so decided to head to Crossroads for dinner. We decided on TGI Fridays – it was quite busy but were seated quite quickly. The meal was good and the kids got the balloon animal made for them. We then had a wander about but there is not much there in the was of retail therapy so we headed off home and this is the really exciting part – I did some washing and ironing!! The kids chilled out in there den and I got ready for the next day.

Lovely relaxing day. I bought a pearl oyster from Universal one year and thought it was fun to do too.:)

I did the 'choose an oyster' thing in 2005 in the Japan pavillion at Epcot and got a double wishbone necklace, I think they're a great idea.. It makes the jewellery personal *** you chose the pearl yourself :) Also, love those ghiradelli sundaes!!

Oh those sundaes look delicious :thumbsup2 .You should post a picture of your necklace it sounds very pretty.x.

Another great day. The boats look fun:thumbsup2

A lovely relaxing day. The boats sound like a lot of fun and your necklace sounds beautiful.
