22nd July
Woke up today to a cloudy sky. It was still very warm just very overcast. The kids were fast asleep so decided to let them lie as long as they wanted as we had an early start tomorrow. It was around 10.30 am before DH and the kids got up so I sat down and finished book 4 of the holiday. We had an early lunch at the villa and decided to head for Animal Kingdom even though the skies were looking a little black.
We parked and walked to the entrance where DD met Chip and Dale (DS would not entertain them today!!!)
we then made our way in and the kids and Granny and Grandad went to see Its Tough to be a Bug and DH and I went off to see if we could get any fastpasses.
DS was desperate to do Kali River Rapids so we picked up a fastpass for 5pm. By this time the wind started to get up and the rainclouds rolled in so we headed back to meet the kids and went to Dinoland USA and grabbed a coffee in the restaurant there to sit out the storm!!! We had just grabbed a seat and the heavens opened so we all sat and ate some chocolate cake and waited and waited ..
The things you do to amuse the kids ..
The rain stopped after a while and the kids had a go on the Triceratops ride and then we headed off to see if Everest was open yet it wasnt . By that time it was parade time and DS was desperate to do Kilimanjaro Safaris so we headed that way and were on the ride within 10 minutes. The kids loved spotting all the animals and it was lovely and cool going round.
We came off there and the kids wanted to look in the shops . DS bought a koala bear but DD was saving her money for another visit to the Japan shop at Epcot. By this time is was time for Kali River Rapids. I decided to pass on this as I didnt want to get wet again so the rest headed off and I took a seat and watched the world go by. It wasnt long before they all returned wet well that was an understatment . DS was most put out as he had soggy underwear and because the sun never came out after the rain they werent going to dry anytime soon so we called it a day.
