Jackie and Chris's Wishes Wedding 1/6/12: SBP/Attic/SCP 5/11 Final Post- PJ Finished

Fun! I love the guestbook--very nice choice. The invites are also lovely. I really like the vases for the Attic--they totally fit!! I understand what you mean about savoring the anticipation, but some day its just like "ok, I'm ready, let's do this!" lol

WOW! You have alot of updates! I hope that I don't forget anything. Let me start out by saying that I love you in the blue dress! Its sooooo pretty!!! :goodvibes And OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YOUR guestbook it GREAT!!!!! I want one!!!!! The invitations are so pretty, your DF did a really good job. YAY for finding centerpieces for such a good price. :thumbsup2

I completely understand how you feel about enjoying all the moments before the wedding. Before we know it we will get to wear our cool wedding dresses!!! I can't wait for more updates!

I love YOU in our blue dress. :lovestruc And I didn't tell you--- DF bought me the sparkly blue Toms to go with it! So we're twinsies again!

Hi sweetie, just checking in!!! Those vases are strangely attractive aren't they!!!
You look absolutely gorgeous in your special blue dress. Such a princess!!!
I love love love the guestbook!!! You did an excellent job!!

Right! They're so absurd they're amazing. And thank you, Joanne!

Wow, massive amount of updates! First of all, I do love the guest book. It's just so perfect for a Disney themed wedding, and the cover is especially gorgeous. And your invites look great! Yay for having those done, to me that felt like a pretty important step in the wedding planning process. And now you get to mail them! I love what you guys did with them, especially for just using the Michael's invites. I remember seeing those and thinking they were really plain but you did a great job making them beautiful!

The vases are a fun find, and you're totally right, they will look great in the attic. I really like the blue one! Hope you find a few more that capture the right feel!

And your dress is so pretty. I forget, do you know when you'll be wearing it yet? Rehearsal dinner? And I totally relate to how you're feeling these few months before the wedding. Sometimes it seemed to fly by, and I wanted to just get to the wedding, but other times I really needed things to slow down because I wanted to enjoy it and I didn't want this exciting event I've been looking forward to for so long to be over already!

Thank you for the invitation compliments! DF worked hard on them, and they're the one thing for the wedding I let him have complete control over (it killed me!)

I'm wearing the dress the day after the wedding... mostly for funsies. We're doing a farewell brunch at Chef Mickey's, so I'll be able to wear it there, then around the MK and at Citrico's that night.

great update!!

love the invites and the guestbook!!

time will fly from here!! be glad you're getting everything done now!!

Thanks Deena!

Your guest book is lovely!!! It's worth the money since you'll have it forever! And your right, those vases go so well with the look if the attic. I like them a lot and what a deal! I need to check out Goodwill more often! I'm off to CT tomorrow, I'll say hello to our home state for ya ;)

Say hi to CT for me!!! And have fun! :)

Oh wow! I love, love, LOVE your guestbook! It's beautiful! And so is your dress!

I LOVE the blue dress! It's amazing :thumbsup2

As you know, I visited Sea Breeze Point this past Sunday and my new hubby and I took a picture for you! I hope your ears were burnin' because I was telling him all about your plans!

I'm happily living vicariously through you :grouphug:

Helllloooooo Jackie!! I just realized it's been forever since I posted on your PJ! I'm not a very good pal.. :(

Anyway.. I am in love with your guest book. It is absolutely gorgeous! You did a good job picking it out. Your invites turned out great as well. And without having to spend a fortune doing them. :thumbsup2

BTW I love the dress! I hope you do better than I did. I didn't wear any of the dresses I took. Maybe me and Charley will go somewhere nice for dinner sometime. I can wear one then. Lol

Not much longer to go now! Just a few more months and your wedding day will be here!! :yay: I told Charley we could start planning another one for ourselves... He said he'd rather just go as a guest to one and see it from that side! Lol I'm guessing he doesn't want to hear about my plans for our upcoming vow renewal!! :confused3 :rotfl:

I love your vases...they are going to look so fantastic I'm the attic, they're so appropriate! Your guestbook and invites are so cute too, I love them!

Oh, my goodness - I LOVE that dress on you. I've been trying to keep things rather, well, frugal and all, but I'm so tempted to get that dress!

Oh wow! I love, love, LOVE your guestbook! It's beautiful! And so is your dress!

Thank you so much!!!!

Lookin good, Jackie! I really love the guestbook and invites!! :goodvibes That dress is super adorable, too!

Thanks, Sarah!

That was such a fantastic picture of SBP, Shell! I love how you can see Epcot in the background. :lovestruc

I know Jennifer, what the heck. I basically LIVE in your Trip Report. :lmao:
That stinks you didn't wear any of your dresses! I realized I'm going overboard. I'm taking 11. I have an addiction! We are going to... 7 or 8 signature places though (even though one is Hoop De Doo, but I have a dress with a horse pattern on it! Oh yes), so I'll wanna dress nicely.

And... LOL!!! I'm already planning our Disney Cruise Line VR in my head... except, that time, it's just going to be Chris and me and I'm just getting the package. That's it!

I love your vases...they are going to look so fantastic I'm the attic, they're so appropriate! Your guestbook and invites are so cute too, I love them!

Thank you so much! The vases are so weird that they're amazing!

Oh, my goodness - I LOVE that dress on you. I've been trying to keep things rather, well, frugal and all, but I'm so tempted to get that dress!

Thank you! I've already influenced Melissa (pinkmiss3) to buy it, so you should too! However, it might be difficult--- Alfred Angelo discontinued it, but I'll bet you can find it online!

Just a quick update, gals: We're THREE MONTHS AWAY!!!!!!! WOOHOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's all. :D No new wedding plans this week, I've been too busy.

Howeverrrr--- I guess I can post this on here. I've made it to Teach for America's final interview! I haven't written about it because I didn't want to jinx it. My final interview is from 9-5 on October 18th. It's really competitive and they accept less than 10% of all total applicants, so PLEASE keep your fingers crossed for me as I stress about it over these next two weeks!

I am soooooo happy for you! I hope that you get the job! I will be sending pixie dust your way! pixiedust:

Fingers crossed on the job! Good for you for even applying, I hear it's a challenging but really worthwhile organization. If you get it, do you have any idea of what exactly you would be teaching and where?

happy 3 months wedding day buddy

I LOVE the guest book, you did such a great job on it! I'm not sure what Teach for America is but congrats and good luck!

Ok... so I know I'm behind.. but GOOD LUCK on the new job!! I even googled it to find out what it was all about!! Gotta love google! Anyway.. it sounds amazing and a very good thing to do. I so hope you get it! You'll be awesome at your interview. They're going to love you! :goodvibes

Thank you so much, girls! The interview is on Tuesday--- I'm excited/nervous. Thankfully, I lucked out and the interview is on my campus (woohoo!) so I have home court advantage.

For those of you who asked, Teach for America is basically like a USA version of the peace corps, except just for teaching and you get paid! It's an organization devoted to closing the achievement gap for lower income families. Having grown up in one of those, it's something I'm fairly passionate about, and I really hope I get it! However, I can only join if they accept me to the Milwaukee corps. Chris LOVES his job here, and I don't want to move again. So we will see!

So I'm being an awful disbride. I just haven't done that much wedding stuff! I feel like there's so much to do... yet nothing to do. Does that make sense? Let's see, what have I done...

*I purchased my final two vases, but I forgot to take pictures! They're all packaged up and ready to be mailed to my grandparents as soon as they get to their condo in early December.
*I called Men's Wearhouse today and FINALLY gave them our group number. She's going to email me more info today... I -hate- talking on the phone.
*I'm still waiting for my wedding ring. :( I want it!
*On the 22nd, Chris and I have a dance lesson! I cannot WAIT to write about it. :lmao: Chris and I do not have rhythm, and we have no idea how to dance. This is going to be AMAZING.
*I suppose the most interesting thing I did was change our wedding favors! This picture is courtesy of Mindyjoy's PJ (Hope you don't mind!) Aren't they adorable?

Ours will have burgundy letters.:lovestruc For other Disney brides, if you're wondering they're $7 a piece, which is pretty pricy, but only $1 more than the ones we had! (And with under 30 guests, what's another $25?!)

*I'm debating buying another wedding favor. I found a website that produces--- wait for it, girls--- tea inspired by Jane Austen novels and characters! There is a Longbourn wedding tea, and I WANT it! It's looseleaf, so I would get to buy cute little containers for it. Should I just bite the bullet and do it?
*I bought the iron on transfers for my MOHs, bridesmaid, and myself! I can't wait to play with them.
*I ALSO bought that necklace from Swarovski I've been wanting from an ebay seller.. but I haven't heard from him yet. Cross your fingers that it comes in!

Okay, I guess I did more than I thought! Hopefully my next update will be more exciting. Have a good weekend, everyone!

I think this update is very exciting! Good luck with your interview! I subbed in a lower income school district last year and it was really tough. I think being a sub in general is hard though so when you add that in it just makes things tougher. I got glimpses of some of the things teachers do to turn those kids around though and it's so inspiring. I hope you get the placement you want! :goodvibes

And every time I read your PJ I feel like I find something else that we have in common! I also hate talking on the phone (with the exception of a few people such as my best friend, my mom, and Jason). Having to call someone for business or something? It requires a few deep breaths before I can dial that number.

I love the favors, I'm so glad you got them! And Jane Austen tea? That is just too cool! Of course I'm going to encourage you to get it :rotfl: We should get together and have a Jane Austen tea party :cutie: I missed my chance when I was in England - I visited Bath for a day where they do all sorts of Jane Austen events, but it was while Jason was visiting and he has a bit of a dislike for Jane Austen so we did other stuff instead :sad2: Poor guy just doesn't get it - though I tried to turn his mind around by giving him a copy of Pride and Prejudice for Valentine's Day - a "personalized" edition that had replaced Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy's names with our own names! :lmao:

Oh my gosh Jackie I've missed so much!

I love your guestbook, it's fab!

Your DF did a great job with the invites, they're great.

Your blue dress is lovely, you look great in it.

As I write this I just realised that tomorrow is your final interview for Teach for America, so I wish you good luck and lots of pixie dust, not that you'll need it. pixiedust: :goodvibes

Thank you so much for your well wishes, Becky! I couldn't imagine being a substitute--- it just looks SO difficult. Kudos to you! And I -hate- the phone, but I am always the one who has to make phone calls, because Chris hates it even more than I do.

And OMG I WANT TO GET CHRIS A PERSONALIZED P AND P! But he wouldn't appreciate it. :( And it's so surprising to me that they do Austen events in Bath! I suppose it's because a lot of her characters go there, but she HATED Bath. I would have gone with you. :goodvibes

Thanks for updating!! :D I'm glad you did (even though I knew most of it! XD)

You're welcome, sukka. :P

Real-Life Update: Hi girls! I had my interview today! I think it went pretty well, but I don't want to jinx it. It was a long morning and afternoon, and I was pretty stressed out, but I'm mostly just glad it's DONE, you know?! I find out November 8th I think, so just keep your fingers crossed for me until then. :goodvibes I also decided to wait until after the interview to update this PJ so it gave me something to look forward to. :lmao:

Now, onto the good stuff! On Friday night, I got the call that my lovely, amazing, sparkly wedding ring had come in and was ready, so on Saturday DF and I went to pick it up. Some of you have seen this on facebook already, but I am in love. :lovestruc

And here is the ring up against my engagement ring. (Please excuse my stubby little fingers; my dad says I have pygmy hands! :lmao:)

DSCN0257.jpg

I just can't wait to wear it for forever!

I also bought these snazzy hairclips to put throughout my hair at Claire's. (Don't you love going in there? DF tried to get me to buy a Justin Beiber rubber bracelet.) I like them because they're snowflakes, and we're getting married in January. Even though it's WDW, it's still a winter wedding!

Do you think the sparkly hairclips will be too much with a veil AND a tiara? I'm only going to wear the veil for the ceremony. I haven't exactly figured out what I want to do with my hair yet, but I will soon. What are your thoughts?!

I also ended up ordering the "Longbourn Wedding Tea" from the Jane Austen tea website, and I bought some cute little boxes for it. I'll show you all pictures, of course, when it's all put together. I'm just excited to have another project!

Also, look what has started to come in! (Please ignore Smokey--- he's wondering why he can't come.)

People have started having fun coloring in the Mickey ears. We've gotten one "no," from my maternal grandfather, but I knew he was a no because he's 87 years old. He included a snippy little note with it though--- like what the heck! I'm pretty sure I'm the only person in the world who would have a snippity little old man grandfather. That's okay, my other grandfather (you know, the one who is putting us up in DVC hotels for 11 nights!) makes up for it.

That's all I have for today, girls (and the occasional stray male!). Hope your week is going well!

Jackie sweetie - Yay for the lovely favours and yay for Jane Austen tea and yay for having a good interview and yay for the RSVPs coming in and yay for the stunningly gorgeous ring.......in fact a big yay :yay:for everything!!!! It is all coming together beautifully now!!!
