Jack Hanna

Did anyone go to the Jack Hanna weekend at seaworld? Is it worth it. Ive never been. What kind of animals did he bring out and could you actually see them?

now you remind me... i saw the posters for it when we went to busch gardens, and totally forgot about it being at sea world so I never went. i need to pay attention to things...

We had planned on going to SW to see Jack Hanna Saturday , but life got in the way and we didn't get over there.

We went last year and loved his show. He is just like he is on the talk shows-excited -sort of hyper and very cool with the animals. He put on a very good, informative show. If you have ever been in the Nautilus theater where they do the Alure show, you know the theater is not huge so you do get good views of the animals. We went to both shows last year and sat toward the side and closer to the back for the 2nd show and still saw everything well and enjoyed the show. If you ever have the opportunity to see him in person go for it.

We didn't do the meal with him so not sure how that works.

Before the show they opened a side entrance for Gold, Silver, and Platinum Pass holders. You basically got a meet and greet picture opportunity with Jack and got the best seats before they open the door for the day trippers.

Same question. I'm trying to decide if I should go Sunday 9/15 or avoid it and go on Tuesday 9/17. I would like to go but if I have to get in line super early or not have a good view, or if it's not any different from their regular shows, I'd rather just avoid the crowds altogether (assuming it's busier that weekend).

ETA: Just noticed that RabFlmom did go. At first I only read the first line that said life got in the way. So I suppose my only remaining questions are how early does a day tripper need to get in line, and how would the crowds that day compare to the following Tuesday?

Have gone a few more times since my original review. Love his show. Always fun. People with season passes get to go in early for a meet and greet picture session and to get their seats first. He is such a nice man and funny.

People with out season passes can still find good seats. We have sat toward the back and still could see the animals. Like concerts everything is on the big screen for close-ups, too.

Jack told the audience that he would stick around after the show to meet anyone who wanted pictures etc who weren't at the meet and greet. For his first show I think you might want to line up about 45 minutes - an hour ahead to get seats closer to the front. People were still getting in 10-15 minutes before the show though.

There are reserved seats for people who do the breakfast with him. That would be fun.

Sweet, I'd want pictures with him. But I think I should dress up like him instead of Nemo like I was planning

Do you think it's a longer or shorter wait for the later show?

I'd love to do breakfast, as we're already doing Dining with an Imagineer and maybe Lunch with an Astronaut. However, it's for passholders only.
