Jack and Sally. UPDATED. FINISHED :( !! LOTS of pics. 6.26-7.3

Great update! You guys are just too cute! Glad to see that you liked MGM so much. I am very jealous that you got to ride RNR twice in a row. I love that ride!

:rotfl: I laugh about your experience with Indiana Jones. We showed up 30 minutes before the show and barely got in. We had seats on the extreme left of the theatre in the back. We still enjoyed the show but next time I am down I will grab a fastpass for this show.

I wish that we had been able to eat at Le Cellier but it was all booked up for the night we were at Epcot. Next time I am eating there no matter what!

Can't wait for the next installment!

Great updates! i love the pics! It will be our first time seeing Stars and Motor Cars so I skimmed them so I didn't spoil the surprise. Your trip is so similar to ours and every time I read another segment I get excited more and more! Yay!

Hubby & I have talked about the very same thing regarding Epcot. Growing up we both thought it was SO boring & even the first trip or two that we took together, we didn't spend much time there either.

Now that we've gotten older we have found that we really enjoy relaxing in the evenings at Epcot. We now enjoy a beer from the Rose & Crown & just enjoy hanging out in the countries & talking about what we're doing the next day. It's really funny how you can change your thoughts on the different parks at a different age. :)

Keep up the great work - great report so far!!! :thumbsup2

Wow...what an update! Way too much to comment on but I'll try.

I loved that Youse Guys Moichandice too! My dad bought a gun for my boys there that was so loud that it has remained at my parents's home. Ha ha to them!

MGM looked to be a great day for you. Why didn't you do ToT?

I can't believe you waited 90 minutes for Soarin'. I thought the FP line was long. I did love that ride tho.

i love all your pictures!!!!!! i know it takes awhile to upload all those, so thanks!!! :goodvibes

you guys got to perform with streetmosphere.....so cool! i'm jealous.

and by the way, i'm 30 and ray is 35 and neither one of us really liked epcot, either. so you *may* not grow into it! we were just looking for the disney magic kingdomness and it wasn't at epcot the day we were there!

love the dress....you're so cute! :)

One of our favorite things about MGM was the streetmosphere also. It's great to see some of the same actors in your pictures as we saw 2 years ago. My kids still talk about these memories from our last 2 trips!

Love the report and all the wonderful pictures  ...we were there the last week in June and toward the end of the week is was down right hot the day we were at Epcot....the standby line for Soarin was 2 hours :sad2: .... we ended up FP the ride....by the time we where ready to take the world tour we made it to Mexico and Norway....back to the resort to cool off...

I love the pictures of CBR........we loved staying there 2004 and 2006...I wish we could have had more down time at the resort to enjoy it..... It was our first resort the wife and I stayed at WDW and will always be special....

Can't wait for more.......now back to :surfweb:

I just found your trip report and I am loving it, and the great pics too!:thumbsup2 You two are so totally cute together.

We will definitely have to find some Streetmosphere on our next visit, everytime we have gone we have never seen them!:confused3

Looking forward to your next installment.

I just found your report. I am loving it! The two of you make an absolutely adorable couple!

Hey Everyone! Just wanted to let you know that the next installments are big ones too so its taking me awhile! Just didnt want to be MIA!

I just found your TR and LOVE it! :thumbsup2

You and your DBF are such a cute couple. It totally takes me back to when me and DH were dating (we were 16 and 17 when we met and now 15 years & 2 DDs later-WAMMO-still together & still totally in  ). We did a lot of trips like yours before we were married-a lot of San Diego trips and we were DL AP holders-so a lot of DL trips too, and it so reminds me of times past.

Again, great TR and I can't wait to see what happens next popcorn::

Great report, we stayed at CBR on our honeymoon and also stayed in Jamaica those pics really bring back some memories. Wish we were staying there this year but we have decided to try and stay at a different resort each time. We are knocking off All Star Sports this year. Keep up the good work.

Loving your TR so far! I really need to spend more time in MGM and enjoy the Streetmosphere. I'm a movie freak, but I'm never with people who want to just spend time at MGM and bask in the enjoyment of the area. Can't wait to read more.

Ooh! I love this TR! :cheer2:

I know everyone's sayin it, but you and your BF are really adorable. I also know about being from the South (which both I and my BF are) and having people look at you funny  because you're not married (yet - we're a little older than you two, so we might be a little closer to that, but still.) Thankfully, in our case all of our parents are cool with us going to WDW together (his parents are even coming down for a few days to hang out) but getting a place together in the fall.

Anyway - I'm totally loving your storytelling and all your pictures! :thumbsup2 We're going to CBR in September, so it's nice to read about someone with a similar story! Except, I will *not* under any circumstances wear Crocs! :sad2:

I just read page one. The first story of your surprise trip as a child brought tears to my eyes. That is just fabulous. I am so glad you had such loving grandparents and what a thoughtful and terrific memory!
:cloud9:

As for Primas...I had never heard of them, so I looked them up. They are cute! I am not a fan of crocs (I think they are pretty ugly...cute on little kid feet, but just like wading shoes/garden shoes on adults). These are a nice compromise. They make that croc style, but in a more stylish design.
Kudos.

And to all the millions who just chucked their crocs at me through the computer, I apologize and yes, I realize I have never worn them and I am in the minority :upsidedow

Can't wait to read more...

Just finished page three - sorry about the shoes! I stick with my Mizuno running shoes. I may look like a dork...nearly...but they are beyond comfort. No breaking...mama like!

Your hair is beautiful! Just had to add that :)

okay, I'll read on...

Oh, you two are so sweet!

Sorry about the kids. We have a DD who is 14 months, and we would be mortified if she was running amok. But, with that being said, sometimes they just can't be calmed down.

We waited until I was 29 and DH was 30 to have our DD and it was a good decision, so I say wait if you can.

The view from the 14th floor looks amazing. Glad you two got to share that moment. :)

Thanks! California Grill really can be amazing.

Hey Shanna,

I just got back from my trip tonight and saw that you have already started your trip report! Looks like your trip is off to a great start, can't wait to hear more!

Thanks for stopping by!

I love your trip report! I showed my husband the picture of John on Small World. My husband hates that ride because he thinks the dolls are creepy. In fact, I think he thinks its the scariest ride at WDW!

Were you able to slide your ticket through the fastpass machine without taking your ticket out of the holder? I may have to get one of those the next time I go.

Happy late birthday!

You cant slide the ticket without taking it out of the holder, but for us we needed that lanyard! We would have lost our stuff alot if we wouldnt have had it. A good bonus though is for PhotoPass, you dont have to take the card out, they can scan it without you taking it out. That came in BIG handy!

Great pictures! Thank you so much for all of your posting!
I will take you back to CBR in August with my trip report!

Can't wait! Thanks for stopping by, there's still more to come!

Ditto what everyone has said....too cute!
You remind me of Avril Lavigne...same facial features and cute little nose.

Anyway, Your trippie is great so far, can't wait to read the rest!

Thanks! I've never gotten Avril Lavigne before, but I guess we have the same nose! Stay Tuned!

Great TR!

It's great to read TRs from fellow childless couples!

Thanks! I love reading TR about childless couples too!

Loving the trip report so far! :thumbsup2 You guys are too cute together & remind me of me & my hubby now going on our first trip before we were married. It was an awesome time...probably why we keep returning every year!

Can't wait to hear more!

Thanks! We're now both officially Disney addicts, so I think we will make a tradition of it too!

I am really enjoying your TR!! You guys are just too adorable! I love all the pictures too. We didnt make it on Test Track either, there just never seems to be enough time in the day for Epcot. :sad2: Keep up the great work!

Thanks for stopping by! I've subscribed to your TR! Congratulations! I'm going to post over there soon!

Ok, I admit it, I say Youse guys! But you have to say it "HEY Youse Guys"
Like from the goonies! When I worked at a High school, the students use to make so much fun of me saying Youse guys!

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, THE PICS!

Thanks! I know find myself saying Youse Guys on accident! I've picked up that northern accent over the years...

Excellent pics!

You guys are troopers, waiting in a 90 minute line! I've never been on Soarin because the wait has always been too long.

Your TR is great, I'm excited to read more!

The wait really was worth it! It's a must do now for us. The front row is truly amazing! Stay Tuned and Thanks for stopping by!

Wow! You guys really did do a lot in a day. I like those fast pass lanyards, I'll have to invest in one.

Sorry to hear about the 50's. I have always read such fun things happen there...I guess it just depends on your waitress.

This is the 2nd report I've read today about LeCellier and I'm really regretting not getting an ADR there. Oh well...I guess we'll have to go back.

I can't wait to pull the same thing on DH at Club Cool with the Beverly.

Thanks for all the pictures, it really did feel like I was there with you both.

Definently get one of those lanyards, it saved us alot of headache with keeping up with tickets, FPs, PhotoPass. All in one place! Le Cellier is one of our favorites, for sure. Definently the pretzel bread/cheese soup combo. I am still craving that! :) But the DBF and I definently adopted the "we can always try this/that NEXT time!" LOVES it! I was kinda disappointed with DBF reaction in ClubCool! :sad2: Hopefully you'll have a better one! :rotfl: Stay Tuned!

Great update, I love all the pictures!!!

Thanks! More coming!

I think that is so true. I went when I was 17 w/friends and we all thought Epcot was boring. But 2 years ago when I went w/DBf @ 22 I thought it was more fun. But DBf (21 at the time) thought it was boring with the exception of TT & Soarin'. I am hoping this time we will like it even more! Now that we are older n wiser n all.

I lovvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvve all your pics! You got such great pics of the Stars & Motor Cars parade. I have to admit though...I never paid any attention to Streetmosphere and you guys are lovin' it! I will have to pay more attention to them this time around.

Can't wait to see more pics~!!

I think we're going to give it another chance next time - a rope drop, all day kinda thing. Maybe we'll like it better. Definently check out Streetmosphere, they can be so funny! Can't wait to share more pics!

Great trip report. You and your boyfriend are such a cute couple. I absolutely love your pictures.

Thank you! Keep stopping by!

Great update! You guys are just too cute! Glad to see that you liked MGM so much. I am very jealous that you got to ride RNR twice in a row. I love that ride!

Can't wait for the next installment!

Definently eat at Le Cellier. OMG I still salivate thinking about that place! We ended up riding RnRc I think 6 times. Loves it! Stay Tuned!

Great updates! i love the pics! It will be our first time seeing Stars and Motor Cars so I skimmed them so I didn't spoil the surprise. Your trip is so similar to ours and every time I read another segment I get excited more and more! Yay!

I love Stars and Motor Cars! Have fun, I cant wait to read your TR!

We joke that someday when we are over 21 and are visiting WDW we will enjoy Epcot a lot more! :rotfl: We would really like to spend a 21+ experience someday in Epcot! We are really gonna try to give it another chance and spend a full day there, maybe we might like more?:confused3

Turns out, I dont really care for ToT. That came to surface a few days into our trip. I did it once for DBF, but no more! ;) It was a long wait, but not much else was open in Epcot, so it was a why not? situation with a great ending!

i love all your pictures!!!!!! i know it takes awhile to upload all those, so thanks!!!

you guys got to perform with streetmosphere.....so cool! i'm jealous.

and by the way, i'm 30 and ray is 35 and neither one of us really liked epcot, either. so you *may* not grow into it! we were just looking for the disney magic kingdomness and it wasn't at epcot the day we were there!

love the dress....you're so cute! :)

Thanks! Thats definently how we felt. I know people say sometimes its cause we are young, but we just love Disney and Epcot just isnt quite - it. :rolleyes1 But we're gonna give it another try next summer.

One of our favorite things about MGM was the streetmosphere also. It's great to see some of the same actors in your pictures as we saw 2 years ago. My kids still talk about these memories from our last 2 trips!

Love them! As an actress, I cant help but admire how talented they are! They are amazing.

Love the report and all the wonderful pictures  ...we were there the last week in June and toward the end of the week is was down right hot the day we were at Epcot....the standby line for Soarin was 2 hours .... we ended up FP the ride....by the time we where ready to take the world tour we made it to Mexico and Norway....back to the resort to cool off...

Can't wait for more.......now back to :surfweb:

They closer to July it got it was just hot! The walk around Epcot was pretty unbearable! We had to walk through a bunch of shops to stay cool! CBR was great, but as you said, we just didnt have enough down time to enjoy it either. Stay tuned!

I just found your trip report and I am loving it, and the great pics too! You two are so totally cute together.

We will definitely have to find some Streetmosphere on our next visit, everytime we have gone we have never seen them!:confused3

Looking forward to your next installment.

Thanks so much! Streetmosphere can just be a great thing to grab a snack and take a break. They are awesome!

I just found your report. I am loving it! The two of you make an absolutely adorable couple!

Thank You!

I just found your TR and LOVE it! :thumbsup2

Thanks! We dont let any cynicism about us not being married bother us, we love each other too much to care! I hope you enjoy all the pics of CBR, its a beautiful place. I never thought I would wear Crocs, but they were just heavenly in the parks. I brought a bunch of different pairs to wear, but it was always Crocs in the day, flip flops at night. They were just so comfy! I dont wear them at home, but at WDW all I cared about was comfort! And the MJ's arent too bad!

I just read page one. The first story of your surprise trip as a child brought tears to my eyes. That is just fabulous. I am so glad you had such loving grandparents and what a thoughtful and terrific memory!

Thanks! I brought the primas, but never wore them. The Prima sizing is just all wrong. I, too, was a Croc hater, but in WDW all I wanted was comfort and the MJ's delivered! I dont know what I would have done if I had not had them. Keep reading!

Hey everyone! Sorry about my negligance to this TR. I dont want to be known like certain people on the boards!...But my summer is getting really busy with weddings and festivals and all that fun summer stuff. To top it off, I move to university in two/three-ish weeks! Things are getting busy and exciting! I really want to finish this before I head off to university so be prepared for the TR Wrath! Thanks everyone for reading! Thats what I love about the DIS-everyone is so nice. Enjoy!

I know I keep saying this a lot – but I think today was one of our favorite days. I definently had some teary-eyed moments through out this day.
Since the night before we spent at Epcot until almost midnight, although we knew we would suffer for it, we decided to sleep in a bit. As mentioned before, John had become quite the commando and wanted to wake bright and early, but when the alarm went off, it just wasn’t going to happen! We made it to Epcot by noon.

We swear we will never do this again! Test Track was at 30 minutes and NOTHING was available to FP (this really was bewildering to us, thus our lack of appetite in general for anything Epcot), but since we hadn’t eaten, we decided to walk around World Showcase and settle wherever our tummies desired. We made it through one country and decided we were STARVING. We quickly admired China, my favorite country, by browsing though the shops that made my heart sing! I just love all the little buddhas and art.

S6300938.jpg

S6300941.jpg

S6300943.jpg

Ahh, it was wonderful. Finally, our adventurous stomach hit the road and we decked it for….Liberty Inn! So much for that. I’m sure John got a burger and I got the chicken sandwich I believe. I was excited to have the Mickey Rice Krispie treat though!
S6300946.jpg

We actually got to listen to the American drummer guys while we ate. This was the only Epcot entertainment we caught that day, we always seemed “off” on the performance times! Kinda a bummer! I was really looking forward to those. As we were walking, the clouds began to form and our first rain of the trip was quickly on our tails.
S6300954.jpg

In morocco, we met Jasmine and took pictures in the shops, which I thought were pretty cool.

France was my second favorite country! I am taking French this fall at university and I have adored anything and everything French for as long as I can remember. So it was nice to pretend to be in France!!
S6300968.jpg

S6300972.jpg

S6300983.jpg

S6300988.jpg

Looks like rain is coming, huh?
We made it to the UK where we caught Mary Poppins and Alice! We were so DELIGHTED! We love these girls! Mary Poppins told me to have a “practically perfect in every way” birthday, and hoped my mother made me a birthday cake. When John stepped up to take a picture, she asked me if he would be needing a nanny, which I replied Definently! She said that she would be available later! Too cute! She was such a lady!
S6300992.jpg

S6300996.jpg

Alice was lots of fun, too!

Thinking the clouds were behind us, we decided to go ahead and go to Test Track and just wait it out. As we were standing in the outside portion of the ride – we finally had a reason to bust out those ponchos gathering dust in our backpack. It rained! As we made it in the building, the rain let up a little bit, so we decided to wait in the line. Later, they announced that TT was down. Big surprise, but I figured since it stopped raining it would be up in a few minutes. NOPE! Long story short, after announcements that TT was up and running, and down (about 5 times!), and spending about 1.5 hours in the TT line, they announced that it would be permanently shut down for the rest of the day! Knowing that we probably wouldn’t be returning to Epcot, we were really BUMMED! They gave us FP for a ride of choice – excluding Soarin! What?! The only thing we really wanted to ride! Pssh! We grabbed one for HISTA, and walked onto that. (We didn’t even need the FP!) We liked this one, it was actually pretty scary! We only heard bits and pieces though, we were lucky enough to sit by all the Brazilian girls! Afterwards, we headed to SpEarth and walked on. It was actually pretty interesting, I enjoyed it as did John.
That was the last thing we did in Epcot, and we headed back to CBR to nap and get ready for Ohanas.

After we awoke from our ever important slumber, I got dressed in my ever-so-matching apparel for Ohanas.
S6301016.jpg

We headed to the bus stop and when we got to the MK, we boarded a monorail. There was something up with the monorails, so it took extra long to get to the Poly. Something about a security check. We ended up encountering this again later. We kind of assumed it had something to do with the bombings in Europe, but didn’t let it ruin our magic! We finally arrived at the Polynesian
S6301025.jpg

and we immediately fell in love. WE LOVE it here. It is so beautiful! One of these days, we really want to stay here! We got our buzzer and roamed the shops and took some pictures.
S6301030.jpg

S6301031.jpg

We got seated fairly quickly, and we got a nice huge table (to ourselves, no crammed corners!) overlooking the water! It was great.
S6301033.jpg

We ordered Shirley temples again, and they got the food out fast, and every single thing they brought was delicious! We were absolutely in heaven. We thought it couldn’t get any better, until the bread pudding came! OMG, we are craving this to this day! Ohanas was a great experience all around and is on “our list” of must dos. Afterwards, we walked around and just marveled at the greatness.
S6301039.jpg

S6301040.jpg

We decided to catch the boat to MK, and it was just beautiful!
S6301042.jpg

S6301043.jpg

S6301048.jpg

S6301047.jpg

I dabbed my eyes and we headed to the turnstiles. We got a wristband for EMH – it was open to 2AM tonight and we were ready! We got a lot of PP done, but none of them came out very well, something about the lighting just wasn’t right. But we did get a cutie-pa-tootie one!
mkkiss.png

castle.png

S6301064.jpg

We FP Peter Pan (this line was always so long!) and headed to the Enchanted Tiki Room.
S6301065.jpg

SO SAD. My favorite. There’s always next summer!

This was one of the “classics” that I wanted to get done this night. It was very cute,
S6301070.jpg

and we went to grab a spot for SpectroMagic. I didn’t get ANY good nightshots on my camera, but it did take nice video. I hope to get that up here soon.
S6301097.jpg

I LOVE Spectro. Soon enough, Wishes started and I still got chocked up watching it. It was so much better watching it from right in front of the castle, just amazing. On our way heading out from the fireworks, we saw a whole family hugging and crying and it was really heartwarming. I want those memories someday…!
flashoutcastle.png

We headed to Pan. We stopped and rode Pooh, this is really neat.
S6301105.jpg

The dream scene is pretty cool. The honeypots are just too cute! We finally made it to Pan. I love Peter Pan, and we loved this ride! So cute. We headed to Space Mtn and FP it, and we went to ride the last showing of the night of COP. I know this ride is outdated to some people, but I just LOVE it. It was one of my greatest memories with my grampa as a little girl, and I just love it.
S6301111.jpg

We hopped on and while we were in there, we got stuck in one of the rooms! Instead of moving, our room just stayed still and we had to listen to it all over again! It was funny. Soon enough, it kept moving and we finished. I think they should add a more modern ending, but I really hope they keep this ride around. Buzz only had a 10 minute wait, so we rode that again.
S6301117.jpg

John “beat” me again. We went to ride TTA, and it was actually pretty scary. An older man was confused loading his children on, and tried to run after them and fell. There was a lot of screaming and security guards, and the ride stopped. We sat there for no more than 5 minutes before the ride started up, but it was pretty non-magical. They seemed to be okay, when we got off later. The TTA was actually pretty interesting. It’s a longer ride than I thought it was. But it was really cool to go through Space Mountain and Buzz. We used our FP to ride Space Mountain. The AstroOrbiters always seemed to have a huge wait, so we headed over to Splash Mountain. There was only about a 5 minute wait, so we hopped on. John just loves this ride. It actually creeps me out, its one of those rides that I can just imagine the nightmare of being broke down on. But we made it through, AOK! We then headed to my last classic on the list – Jungle Cruise. It was actually pretty scary at night. Our skipper was very funny, but I like the cheesy-ness of it. After that, we headed over to our happy place – a nice dole whip on “our” bench. And with that, we headed home.
