It's grown ups that make a big deal about things like this. My DD went through a phase of loving Bob the Builder and Thomas the Tank Engine. She had various character clothing/costume pieces but she also had princess stuff.

One of my favorite pictures of her is when she was about 3 and helping DH rake leaves. She was wearing a Tinker Bell costume with Bob the Builder sneakers, Thomas engineer hat and Home Depot apron :rotfl:.

I clicked on the link and then on all of Jenna's picks. Couldn't even fathom what the "problem" was supposed to be (although I do REALLY like the white Sperry's). Looked again...is it the nail polish that's bothering people? Sheesh. Can't see why that would bother anyone. And I'm a conservative mom to 4 kids (including 3 boys).

Yikes, what is going on? I don't consider myself stuffy or closed minded but is this really the direction they are going in?

Sorry, have to agree with you. Can you imagine how confused he will be when other kids tease him for wearing toenail polish - especially pink? It's one thing if someone makes a choice for themself - it's another to do this to your child.

:confused3 What's the big deal?

Seriously, why are you and others objecting to this?

I think it's adorable and NO big deal. My son was a pink power ranger for Halloween 15 years ago!:rotfl:

I think the boy probably wanted the polish on. He doesn't look like he's scared or trying to get away from it.

And, how confused will he be when he's teased about anything? Children get teased. It's not nice and they shouldn't tease, but many, if not most, do.

It's adorable. I think it was one of those moments when mom was painting her nails and DS wanted his done too. They are just having fun!

Yes, I'm conservative (duh!). IMHO (and the O is for opinion - it's mine and you can't change that), nail polish is not for little boys, whether it's pink, blue, red, or green. Now if grows up to be goth or emo and wants to paint his nails himself, that's his business. I'm not bothered with pink for boys - plenty of manly men wear pink polos or pink ties. If his favorite color is pink, buy him a pink shirt.

I don't understand why people are upset about this. ACCEPT! Accept others and their differences. This little boy likes nail polish. So what? He can wear shoes and socks to school so nobody there sees his feet. If he wants to paint is nails pink, then let him. Accept others!

Really?? People are objecting to this?? What is the big freaking deal??? So what if the kid has nail polish on and that it is pink?? Who really cares??? Obviously the kid likes it, so who is anyone else to say it is wrong??

My DD8 plays in the dirt and will even, gasp, want to build things!! OMG- does this mean she will turn out to be a lesbian or be so confused about her sexuality??? :rolleyes1

Get over it people. It's a little boy playing with his mother.

:worship: I agree.

Does someone think that painting the boys toenails pink is going to turn him into a homosexual? Is that why people are so up in arms over this? Sheesh... if it were a little girl who wanted to do something 'manly' with Dad, nobody would be complaining.

What is so wrong with it and why is that child going to be confused? I think people have alot more to worry about these days than a little boy that likes neon pink nail polish on his toe nails.

I used to play with my male cousin's cars and transformer figures(in fact I got one of their motorized stomper trucks caught in my long hair) , I played ball and rode bikes with the boys in the neighborhood, but I also played with dolls and pretend grocery store with my female friend across the street. I grew up to be a well adjusted woman.
