I've won something for the first time in my life
As I'm a member of Virgin Flying club I just enter any competitions that I see.I don't bother with any that need a catchy phrase etc. as I'm rubbish at that,just enter any that are winners 'pulled out of a hat'.
I had a phonecall from Virgin Atlantic to say I've won 2 flights to LA and 2 nights luxury accommodation in the Westin Long Beach.I was so excited that Lindsay (who has been helping me ) said most people weren't as pleased to win as I was! Perhaps most people are blasé about it
I asked Lindsay if I could extend the holiday to 7 nights,obviously paying for accommodation ourselves,and if I could pay the difference to PE.Having travelled that ay a few times because it's so much easier with Mattie,it would be difficult to travel a longer flight and with me being generously proportioned
I 've had many conversations with Lindsay about Mattie having special needs ( her Mum works with children with special needs and she helped out there)and how DH had to practically beg his parents to look after Matt for 4 nights and I had to do the same with my Dad and his other half to have him for 3 nights:mad2: Our family's say 'Oh your life is so stressful we wish we could help',then on the rare occasion we do it hurts and when we are made to know the great inconvenience it is
Anyways,most couples would present Lindsay with 10,20 or more dates when they could travel,and we have given Lindsay literally 1 (and the week before that at a push!) next July.
We are booking the holiday next week.Extending the holiday was fine AND as a special gesture she has got us the upgrade to PE for free
We will stay at the Westin for the 2 nights , I'll book to fly with Jet Blue on internal flights to Las Vegas for 3 nights,then stay in Santa Monica for the last 2 nights.
