I've read the primer, but I still have a question about upgrades.

Ok, so I'm a Loews First blue member. (I've been to US hotels before, but was too stupid to realize that I had to give them my number in order for the stays to count, Duh!) Anyhow, I have a PBH Deluxe Club room reserved. Upon check-in, should I even ask if there is an upgrade available? Is that the top category that I could possibly get? I really doubt that they'd upgrade my to a suite with my lowly blue status, but I just thought I'd ask you experts out there what you thought.

As I mentioned in the primer, the only official blue upgrade at check-in at the PBH is Garden View to Bay View. That's it.

Anyone can ask for an upgrade at check-in and perhaps your Blue status would count more than someone who doesn't have a LF # at all, but you are not eligible for any further upgrades as a Blue Member. Any upgrade you get would be due to the good graces of the front desk person who checks you in.

As I also mentioned in the primer, club is not part of the LF upgrades. So, even if you were upgraded to a Portofino Suite, you risk a chance of losing your club privileges. You would have to ensure that you keep your club access if you were upgraded to a Portofino Suite. Unlike Disney resorts, just because you are in a suite at one of the Loews hotels does not automatically get you club privileges.

I have just about the same question,except mine regards HRH.WE are booked first of aug. club level,I am loews platinum,are there any upgrades available for me?? Thanks!!

The only upgrade for platinum is to a suite. When you made your reservation, did you tell them your Loews First number and that you were platinum? If so, and no upgrades were available, you are out of luck.
