I've never seen a hidden mickey

My family and I are about to take our fifth trip to Disneyland. We have looked and looked for those hidden mickeys but we can't find them! I'm not sure exactly what we're looking for. Where should I look for them? Are they in the pavement, on the rides, on the walls....where?????

Does anybody have a picture of one so I have some vague idea of what they tend to look like? Can anybody tell me where a few are located to get us started? My daughter keeps seeing lines that kinda look like distorted mickeys...are they supposed to be perfect mickeys or can they be kinda funny looking? Somebody please help! We are leaving in two weeks and we really want to find one!

Dan, thank you SO much...that was extemely helpful! Wow, they stick those Mickey's everywhere. I think we were on the right track in that I was searching on the walls of Indiana Jones and my daughter was looking for them in the pavement. But I didn't realize they could show up on rugs, in pictures, and on rides in the way those pics showed. I also didn't realize they showed up in movies, in restaurants, and hotels.

Thank you again, you really answered a question for me that I've went nuts trying to figure out. Last time we went to Disneyland, each person in my group pitched in five bucks and the "pot" was to go to the first of us who found one...none of us, in seven days, managed. I bet we find one this time, though!

Lynn, they are EVERYWHERE. And that book of Steve's has like 400-500 listed. It is for WDW though, not DL, but DL has all kinds also. They are fun to look for and find. And now that you know what you are looking for, you will certainly see some, just by 'accident'.
