taking the washing machine apart :scared1:
Its stopped working properley yesterday, so as dh is away working in Guilford-(anyone from Guilford here???) I cant get anyone to fix it until next wednesday  so i have taken it upon myself to have a go with a bit of help fromm google :rotfl:
so far i have taken the sump pump ( i think thats what it is..?)apart and found £10 worth of change clogging it up.
its now all been put back together again, which took ages lying on the floor trying to put it all back in the machine...
now the machine is on a test wash, all going well so far :wizard: just hope it empties and spins now :worship:
"wish me luck!"!!! :wizard::wizard::wizard:

I'm impressed with your tenacity - and also wondering how much money is my machine. My fingers are crossed for you.

(P.S. I'm not far from Guildford.)

Wow I'm impressed. :thumbsup2

You could call it a money box lol.

You have got more in your washing machine than I have in money box

well no joy its still making a racket and now not spinning :confused3
I give up!!!
dh is working on the subway(not the shop!) in Guilford town centre doing the stairs.!

Oh no, can you order a new one or get to a laundrette?

But if you do go to a laundrette here's a cautionary tale ...

One summer my washing machine broke down just before I was due to go on holiday. As I didn't want to inform the shop that we'd be away for a fortnight we decided to manage without for a few days and order a new one when we got home.

I had the bright idea of going to the laundrette to do a couple of loads of washing and then bring it home to dry on the line.

This plan worked well until I came to bring the washing home. I had forgotten how heavy the wet washing would be and only just managed to get it home - with many rests along the way!! LOL

I'm very impressed Jeanette, if it had been me, I would've been straight down to Curry's for a new one :rotfl2::rotfl2:

wow Im really impressed :thumbsup2

well its off to the relatives tomorrow -with my washing!!:rotfl:
according to google it could be the bearings that have gone on it... don't think i'll tackle that one!!! bad enough undoing jubilee clips and trying to remember how to put it all back :rotfl2:

You did really well to even get it apart Jeanette! I would have just left it for DH! :lmao:

I actually need him to check ours for DD's school socks, they are so little I think they get sucked through the machine!

been to Comet and got a new washing machine!!!! :woohoo::banana::banana::banana::woohoo:
now need to get through loads of washing!

Happy washing Janette:thumbsup2

I cant believe you had the courage to take it apart in the 1st place, I can just about manage to put petrol in my car:rotfl2:
