I am so excited! Debbie from Coral Reef just called me back and I am going to email her pictures over the weekend for the menu. I just left that message for her yesterday! I did not expect to hear from her until at least next week. I am so thankful to these boards, I would have never known about this service. Now there is going to be one more thing to make my DD's 5th birthday one in a million.

That's great! My friend's daughter was thinking of doing this for her DS' 13th bday. He wanted to have steak for his bday so I thought this would be a great treat cuz he likes seafood too. We will be anxious to hear how your daughter reacted!!

In short, Coral Reef has scuba divers that hold up signs for someone - needs to be pre-arranged through the Coral Reef. My dd is turning 5 that week so the sign is going to say "Happy 5th Birthday Princess Julia, Love, Mom & Dad" Plus, Debbie (the manager) told me to email her some pictures of my daughter and she will make up a custom menu for her.

Call Debbi at Coral Reef and leave your info: ADR #, phone # and email address. She will call you back and set up a diver if available. Then you can e-mail her your photos and she will make a personlized menu/menus for your celebration. She also set up a cake for me and my daughter. We're celebrating together but she's going to be 18. I'm so excited. DD doesn't know! Good luck.

I've read posts where some have got the diver 180 days out and some as close as only a week or so. I'd say your chances are good. Debbi will get back to you as soon as a day and as far out as a month. Just don't panic and don't give up. (I panicked ) Good luck. I'm sending lots of your way.

This sounds really cool! My DH is having his birthday the day we get there, I'm hoping we will be there early enough for dinner but its a long drive. Are there other restaurants with similar specialties? I can make our ADRs on Tuesday, gonna give it a try

I have called 2 times in the month of May w/no reply. I called the number that was posted on the original diver/menu thread. It goes directly to Debbie's voicemail. Is that why I have yet to get a response? I tried calling over the weekend but she had an "out of office" message. I figured I'd try again tomorrow when she's supposedly "back". Thanks, I'm frustrated, b/c other people seem to be getting called back, & I haven't.

I left Debbi a message on Wednesday and Thursday evening I had an email from her! I am so excited! I can not wait until my December trip to surprise my mom for her b-day! Now I just have to keep the secret until then.

Workinmom - Keep trying. Leave her a message with your name, ADR #, and time, phone number as well as your email address. That is what I did and I got a quick response from her. I wasn't expecting to hear from her for atleast a week or so. I called 407-560-6856 if that helps. Good luck!

Make sure you leave Debbi a detailed message. Tell her you've been trying to reach her since May and leave her your e-mail address. Some people do better that way. Good luck.

We are going to do this in December for my DD Sweet 16. I hope we can arrange this...my DD has been hospitalized several times this year already and we have had to cancel her trip to Europe for her sweet 16 and a family cruise in September.....so, this would be a nice treat for her.
