I've got gophers...

Its like Caddyshack at my house....LOL...


They are doing construction very near to my house, and this has cause all kinds of animals to scurry...

Well last week, a "mysterious" pile of dirt appeared in the front yard. This past Tuesday, another in the backyard. We also noticed one in the side yard too. We had no clue what they where.

Well I go outside this morning, and what do I see.......... 2 more piles of dirt, less than 2 feet from the other one in the back. So I am watching this dirt pile later on from the kitchen window, and see the dirt moving, like something is digging.....hmmm......then I see the little bugger stick his head out...LOL...not very big though...
Of course the cat and dogs do nothing..should I be worried? Any Suggestions?

Looks like your going to have a new neighbor! Sounds like he is starting his own constuction on your lawn.

I'm not sure if you have anything to be worried about. Unless they are rabid, they are scared to death of you. You could call the game warden or animal control and ask them what to do. They could use a "have a heart" trap and relocate him. My parents did that with squirrels. They had quite a relocation program going on. LOL
We had racoons and ground hogs when I was a kid and we just ignored them. I lived on a farm though, so it didnt matter if they tore up the yard. The pigs did that.

You could charge him rent!

We used to have gophers but I think my mother's murderous cat got rid of them. They haven't returned even though the cat is not here now. I've never had to deal with them other than this one time.

I'm not so nice to them. It was OK when they were digging up out in our "wild grass" where we don't mow but once they hit our yard I smoked 'em out. I got the smoke bombs thingies from Home Depot. It was easy and they haven't been back. I don't know if the smoke kills them or just makes them move on. I just wanted them GONE!
