DH is heading up here this weekend to pick us up and complete our move to Florida.

Someone casually mentioned that there was a hurricane headed for the East coast of Florida.

I really hope that it picks some other course to take.

It looks too far out to determine exactly what it's going to do so think good thoughts. ::yes::

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you, have a safe move and good luck!

Fingers crossed here too..::yes::

Hurricanes tend to be very fickle so hopefully this one will either fall apart or turn back out to sea..

Good luck with the move!:D

Best of luck to you and your move!:D

Just saw on FOX that it's still pretty far out and Friday would be the soonest it would reach the East coast.. if i goes in a straight line. .

Certainly one to keep an eye on and nothing to take lightly, but like you said Floridafam, right now there's no way of knowing what it will do or which direction it will take. . . it could stall, weaken, go south, head north, stay out to sea. .

Will think good thoughts for you and everyone down in Fla.- another bad storm is certainy the last thing you guys need. . :(

Take care and good luck finsihing up your move! :)

Let's see. Charlie was the first major hurricane in central Florida in 40 years. Now, a few weeks later, Frances could be next. I'm starting to feel like the weather gods are telling me to stay in Massachusetts!

Hey Floridafam - we are moving down this weekend too! :sunny: Good luck with your move and your new home - I'll keep my fingers crossed for ya!

Thanks everyone.

I'm just worried he may not get the time off if his employer knows there may be a lot of damage that they need help with.

I'm going to keep an eye on it.

sorcerormickey,

Good luck on your move. Has it gone well so far? We're still waiting for our house to sell.

Hoping that Frances goes elsewhere but if it does head for the east coast of Florida or even close you can delay by a few days. That's what happened to my daughter die to Charley. She ended up delayed by 4 days before she could safely leave for Ohio.

That would be quite the "welcome wagon"! Hope Frances turns out to sea and leaves everyone alone.
