I decided I didn't want to wait until that perfect BWV contract came along and pay what I would've had to pay to be competitive enough to get when it finally did come along. So, since I got my new Disney Rewards Visa in the mail yesterday and I knew I could charge it on there at 6 months no interest if I bought direct. So it's a done deal now. It's just a 60 point contact. But I didn't have to pay closing and I was able to get the exact UY I wanted plus I got 2010 points that can be banked and used on my first trip.

This is me ----> :cool1::yay::dance3:

That's how we play the game - small contracts on the Visa Rewards Card. No interest for 6mo. and rewards to use on the next trip!

Small contracts make your DVC position easier to modify if the time comes that you need to lower your number of points. (Heaven forbid! :scared1:) Small contracts rule in price and turn around time in the resale arena.

Thank you for the welcome home's. :-)

And yeah...when I combine the value of the extra 60 points @ 12ppt (which is fair for BWV during F&W) $720 plus not having to pay closing costs of $400 plus the 1% reward and the no interest, My price per point comes to about $91 ppt. Which is only about $11 per point that what I believe I would've paid resale but this way I didn't have to wait to get the UY I wanted and I'm still within my 7-11 month booking window so I was able secure a reservation for October. For that extra $660, it was worth it to me. :-)

Edit: I chickened out and changed my mind. I was afraid I was only choosing BWV for logical reasons. My plan sounded good on paper but I've never been there and it might not actually be the place I'd want to stay if I should ever get stuck with home resort only. So, I'm going to visit the resorts before I decide.
