it's not quite as much money and 5 days a week instead of my current 3 and a half but it's come as a real bolt from the blue I couldn't be more thrilled.
Basically I have been really unhappy in my job for a very long time now. I have worked there for 9 years but it has been rapidly changing (and not for the better) and we have been really messed around (we have been through consultation for major changes to terms & conditions 4 times in 3 years) they have recently moved our call centre making loads of staff redundant and cut our team from 6 staff to three with the same workload. Basically it's very stressful and it's just not a happy place to work any more. Plus I work 13 hour shifts with a long commute into the centre of Birmingham. I joined an agency about a year ago during a really fed up phase and did a couple of interviews both of which I didn't get, but one was a really close call and they said when something else came up they would be in touch. Just after that I decided to stay where I was knowing there was a possibility of redundancy and put the job hunt on hold. This past couple of weeks I had been saying I was going to start looking again then completely out of the blue I got a call saying would I like to go see the people I saw last year for a chat as they had an opening. I went yesterday lunchtime and got offered a job as their Major Accounts Co-ordinator late yesterday afternoon
I start on 28th April all being well. I can't wait. It's much closer to home and I don't have to work late or at weekends any more
