I've got a HEA party and 7DMT FP+ conflict! Help! lol

The only time I could get a 7dmt fp+ this day is 8:30pm-9:30pm. It's a MK evening EMH night which we are attending. How busy is 7dmt during evening emh. Is the line really long? Even if we used our fp+ right at 8:30pm I don't think we'd be able to get through the heavy crowd waiting for HEA and get to the party on time. Right?

I guess it all depends on what time HEA is at. We are doing the dessert party it in a couple weeks so fireworks start at 8:55 and the party opens around 7:45. If this is your scenario then for the money that you have spent on the dessert party wouldn't you want to actually enjoy and relax? If you are planning on staying the evening for EMH then i would pop in line for 7dMT just right before closing time. There will be a wait, but you will get on and you won't miss out on your party. Keep checking Fp times as things sometimes open up and you might get lucky.

THanks for your reply! I don't want to chance not riding 7dmt at least once as we've never seen it before. Hopefully ride it once with FP+ and again sometime during EMH. We're not that interested in the deserts, mainly the viewing spot. But we'd like to grab a little something from the offerings then get to the viewing spot. If there's no time, it won't be a big deal. As for relaxing, we'll have been napping and or relaxing at the pool all day before we arrive at MK around 5 o'clock, so should be rested up.

Depending on how many people are in the group you have, you most likely will get an earlier time a few days before or more likely day of the trip. In my opinion. Again largely depends on how many people

Have you tried splitting your party up for FPs? Look for overlapping times for your party by breaking it into 1-2 person increments. It’s not terribly convenient on FP day but once it’s set up and you know what time they begin to overlap, it’ll be fine. It’s much easier to find earlier times for smaller parties and then you won’t have a conflict.

I would either try to change your FP+ or attempt to use it after the party as ktate82 suggests. I'm assuming the party starts at 7:45 pm? You don't have to be at the party right on time, however, people do go over to the Plaza gardens quite early to stake out their spots. If you get in line for 7DMT at 8:25, you might not be off until 8:45 pm. You then have to walk over to the party (another 5 - 10 minutes) and then you only have 20 minutes or so to eat dessert and hope there is still a good spot left in the garden. It negates the whole reason to book the party, IMHO. You would probably be better off trying to get on 7DMT afterward - exit toward Tomorrowland and hot foot it over!

Talk to the CM at 7DMT. We had the same issue with a FP at the same time as the dessert party. Sister had 6-7, I had 6:50-7:50; dessert party was at 6:45 (those exact times could be wrong but the general idea was the same). The CM let me in with my sister around 6:15.

Thats actually a really good idea. They usually let you into the dessert party about an hour and 15 minutes before the fireworks, so go get your band have a couple desserts, head for your FP and if you have time you can go and get a to go box if you want more treats.
