My family is going on the January 25, Eastern Cruise and we are so excited that we are at the 60 point. It seems so official once that final payment is made. Now once we get the documents I'm sure that I will be doing flips.

I love all the info that I gain from these boards. Of course I know that the easiest place to get info is from all of you guys. I have a couple of questions that I know have been asked before, but could you please direct me in the right direction!!

1) Where do I find info in passports?

2) Was there someplace to find out how full the ship is?

3) I read in a Disney Cruise Catalog that Credit Card payments are subject to credit clearance. What does that mean? Do they do a credit check or something?

Thank you for all of your help!! I love reading the travel reports. I can't wait till I can write one myself.

Hi CoachMinnie, and welcome to the Cruise Board!

Did you need information on GETTING a passport? That can be found here:

http://travel.state.gov/passport_services.html

Or did you need to know if you NEEDED a pasport to sail? The answer to that is NO, as long as you have a certified copy of your birth certificate and an approved photo I.D.

You really can't find out how full the ship is in advance. There are sites that show you available cabins in each category but those do not tell you the complete picture.

As for the credit cards, they will just make sure that any charges made clear and you don't reach your credit limit, both when paying for the cruise and once onboard with your charges. They don't run a credit report.

Hope that helps a little! :)
