Well, after my 'semi-solo' trip this May I've gone and booked a 'full-solo' trip for next May - had a great time meeting a load of fab dis'ers last time so if anyone is going back next May (I'll be there from the 9th to the 16th) please say hello :woohoo:

So excited, I'm finally going ahead with what I've wanted to do for ages - no more whining friends/family, I can do what *I* want when *I* want :cool1:

Where did u stay?? I am taking my first solo trip in Oct and will attend MNSSHP for the first time too. I am excited for you.:grouphug:

Thanks, it's exciting isn't it :goodvibes

I've booked to stay 2 nights at Universal (RPR) and then 5 nights at AKL, I've booked as part of a package, flights included, whickworks out a lot cheaper for me.

I just read your trip report. You look just like your mum(british) term I think. I am staying at CT and must confess this is my second trip this year. Yes I am spoiled. dianeprincess:

My mum (yes, it's a British term :) ), would love you for saying that :goodvibes

I would love to visit Disney more often, I hate flying so much and it's got to the stage now where once a year is my limit.

I hate flying also but only have a 1hr and 30min flight. I just close my eyes and pray. Usually after we are up I am good. Of course taking off and landing are scary. I bet your folks go next May lol. They love you and would miss you too much.:cool2:

OMG my parents will so miss me, and Disney, but they find the journey too long and what with the heat and dad's athritic knees they really aren't going again, in fact no more transatlantic travels. So, this really will be my first proper solo trip.

I hate the whole thing of flying, every little bump, I hate it.

I am taking a Tranxene and prob a good mixed drink wouldn't hurt. Do they serve alcohol at 10 am lol.:sad2:

Good for you!! :goodvibes

I also was there in early May with my bro & niece and thank god, for solo trips! I havem't made any 2010 plans as of yet. I thought I had time, but park hours/ADRs are back to 180 days.

Hi Clare!!

How are you? It's good to see that you had such a good time this year that you decided to do it again next year!!

I am planning on spending my birthday at WDW again next year. I haven't booked my trip yet but I am planning to be there around the same time as you.

You are going to love Universal's Royal Pacific Resort. My boys and I stayed there last year. It is a beautifully themed resort. And the express pass for onsite guests makes it worth every penny!

Hi Clare,

Glad to see your going again. Hopefully we will be able to meet up again. Do you plan to ride splash mountain again? Maybe it won't get stuck this time...:lmao: And who can forget Angela with her sneakers in a Ziploc bag and a shower cap on...that was priceless. :rotfl:

Hey, don't knock it til you've tried it :rotfl2:

The funny thing about it was the ride broke down so I spent 20 minutes sitting in a flume with a shower cap on my head and then when we finally got started, the splash wasn't even that big! :rotfl:

Thats great! You will have a great time. Have fun planning. :goodvibes

Thanks everyone.

OMG, how can I forget Angela - hope to see you again Angela because like Teresa says, 'priceless' :goodvibes

Teresa, if everyone else rides Splash then I'll give it a go ....... as long as it doesn't get stuck again ;)
