I've been sand bagged by vmk yet again.

This mroning I opened my room. Everything went well I indicated to all that my room wasn't part of the ride a thon. Yet vmk feels the need to muscle in and boot everyone from my room and delete my room title and description. Way To VMK I Am Seriosuly Angry At You Now!

I can't rename the room till ride a thon ends they said I was confusing players. But you all know i've had that room from magic month. Does this destory my chang of winning with it?

Yes, unfortunately you may have stated it is not part of the ride a thon, but the reality is that alot of people dont read room info. Therefore, ready to report when they feel they are harmed.

If I were you, I would open it up later after the rush for the ride-a-thon starts.

What was the title of your room? If it was in any way similar to the host room titles, they will make you change it, so that it won't cause confusion to the other players. I totally thank vmk for that! It's very frustrating to click on a room thinking it's a host room and wait in a line to a player's room....

I'm sorry if I caused confusion but room descriptions are there for a reason and I planned to close during the ride a thon not to get ppl to come into my room and cause no confusion.

Unfortunately, most players are kids who don't read the room info. They tend to get excited and see a room open early that sounds like it's the host event and think they got a great spot in the line. Something in the title would have been far better than something in the info. Try to remember: VMK's target audience age range is 8-14. How many 8 year olds would think to read the room info before clicking on the enter button? Not many. Sorry, dude. Just how it is.

i dont think this will have any effect on wether or not you win best guest ill, seriously dont sweat it. Its not your fault, its not vmk's fault, its just one of those things.

We have no idea what the criteria is that VMK uses to choose best guest room, all we do know is that people can vote on your room what happens next is at the discretion of VMK.

Ill, WE know you had the room for a month and WE know your room title was not meant to deceive people into going to your room. However, Aengus did "warn" you when you posted about opening your room today, that this is how things go. Take a deep breath and try to see both sides of this. Then go enjoy the ride-a-thon and open your room another day so everyone can enjoy it again.

if ur gonna quit after something like this then that is sad. you shouldn't get so low in something just because they took out the title. they just dont want you to confuse players. They aren't saying its your fault. they just dont want players contacting them saying, this isn't the room.

I contacted vmk asking if I could open tomorrow with the same title and same description as I did when my room was closed and also asked if it affects my chances of winning best guest.
