I have not given up on the 50mm lens.. I use it everyday! Here are a few over the past few days...

Exif data would help.

I like the 2nd one (actually the 3rd one as the 1st isn't showing). The one of the babies feet. Very nice.

Hmmm..... I don't have an exif reader. But it does give me some details when I upload to flickr..

#1 - f/1.8, exposure (speed?) 1/50 (I'm pretty sure it was on aperature priority. I've been practicting in each mode so I can find what is comfortable for myself.)
#2 - f/1.8, exposure 1/200
#3 - f/1.8, exposure 1/100


standard lens ...
#1 - f/5.6, exposure 1/60
#2 - same as above
#3 - f/5.6, exposure 1/80
#4 - f/5.6 exposure 1/160 (this picture was a tester... i ended up liking it.)
