I know I'm not allowed to bring hair straighteners on the cruise, but I have a really small one just for my bangs that would keep me from becoming a poodle. Does anyone know if they're allowed, or is it a strict policy on hair straighteners of any size?

Last time I checked, hair straighteners were not banned. I don't see them on the current list of prohibited items on DCL's website.

Clothes irons are banned but hair irons should be good as far as I know.

I've brought both curling irons and straighteners on all 4 cruises, no issues.

I've never heard of not bringing hair striaghteners on cruises. If it's true then I broke the rules because my frizzy Latina hair wouldn't stand a chance in the Bahamas if it wasn't for my flat iron!

It is so humid in the Caribbean. I used to bring my straightener, but I don’t even bother anymore because the moment I step outside my hair frizzes right back. I pull it back and save my time.

The only restriction on curling irons/ straighteners are it has to be under 1500 watts if 120 volts of under 2000 watts if 240 volts

Just back from a cruise on Monday. No issues with bringing my Babyliss straightener.
