It's Tough to be a Bug question

The actual show is probably only 8 minutes long but the entire thing lasts about 20 minutes.

????? Other then waiting to get in, which is a factor with everything, how does it get to be 20 minutes. You walk in, sit down, the show starts and ends and you get up and leave as the next audience is entering.

Here's a nice leisurely walkthrough that clocks in at just under 15 minutes. You can see that it takes a few minutes to get through the queue. In the video the queue is mostly empty -- that may or may not be the case when you visit. It takes time for everyone to enter the theater, get set, and then watch the show. If we could all run immediately to our pre-agreed-upon seats and hit a "go" button, then it might only take 10 minutes. Sadly that is not the case... :upsidedow

The line always adds five or ten minutes to the wait and once you get inside you wait five to ten minutes more. I am going tomorrow, I have a FP+ and I will time it and report back.

It's about twenty minutes from start to finish if you're counting the time to getting into the theatre, waiting for the other show to exit depending on when you get there, etc.

Well, if the show is eight minutes and it takes you eight minutes to wait outside the theatre while the show is going on, that's 16 minutes. True, it probably won't be the full eight minutes but it could be. Then, waiting for everyone to sit down takes another minute at least. And the exiting, could be at least two minutes depending on where you are sitting. That's an easy 20 minutes total. Show time is 8 minutes. But what was trying to be presented is the actual time from the walk down the queue line to the clearance after the show.

I agree, I would allow at least 20 minutes. If you get there right after another show just started, you would wait 16 and it takes at least 4 minutes to clear the theater, get in and everyone to sit down. Then someone to yell at them to move to the end of the row and fill in all available space, etc. :)

So best case might be 10-15 minutes, worst case 20+ (the + being a line to get in - I've had that happen too during busy periods).

I suppose that could be true, but, then you have to add that time to every single attraction and I don't understand why it's important. If you happen to get there just at the right time, there is no waiting at all in the queue line. It is just unpredictable so pretty much impossible to factor in to a total time. That is splitting hairs a little to close, especially since you have no control over any of those times and they can vary wildly.

just as a word of warning...it can be a little scary for small kids! even we adults can jump once or twice.

The first time I saw it, it scared me pretty good at the time was 17 but I'm not a huge bug fan. But the attraction and actual movie are great!!
