I'm not an evil person (I swear!) but nothing makes me laugh harder at DW than the terrified screams of little children as the spiders descend from the ceiling.

Haha I did not like this at all when I was younger! We have been three times lately and I havent had us go on...finally I gave in because DH kept asking, so we went and I said nothing....sat forward in the seat a bit and let him get stung in the back lol

that engulfs the audience...
taking away their oxygen and leaving many guests near death, gasping for air.

For reals.....I had to get the hell out of there. I was sure I was going to die from asphyxiation.
I couldn't BREATHE and I couldn't understand why nobody else was running for the exit with me.
My family still teases me.

My very favorite effect is actually the canned screams and comments. A good half of the screams are started on the audio loop. I find it very amusing. One of our favorites!!!

I promise if I ever work up the courage to see ITTBAB you will all hear this 45 year old screaming, even if you're not in the state of Florida. I've always been terrified of bugs, but after I broke my arm a few years ago while stepping on a bug to kill it, I really flip out at big bugs.

...but I could really use an acid peel on my 45 year old skin, so I'm trying to weigh the pros and cons, here

Those aren't the children screaming.....that's me.

Children? I sat behind a grown man who jumped and screamed when the beetles walked under him to get to their seats. Better than the actual show!

I love this attraction. But I do cheat at the very "end". I scoot forward on my seat to miss the exiting bugs. My bad but I do it anyway.

Think of all the state-of-the-art technology at WDW, and then consider the reaction to that poke in the seat near the end of the show. Gotta be the biggest bang for the buck in WDW.

Isn't there a poke in the back, simulating a bug bite/sting? Not sure, it's been a while. Also, I had to usher my grand daughter out when she freaked out.

Yes. This is my least favorite part and I always tell my fellow travelers to lean forward a bit in their seats. This is not the same as the bugs exiting, which is less annoying to me.

There is nothing better than the end when everyone who has been frightened by something or the other during the show thinks it's all over and they are just sitting and waiting for the doors to open. Only to be told to wait just a minute longer so others can exit first. Yep, the surprise reaction to that effect is right up there in all time classic.
