Look what followed us home last weekend! I've been around RV's all my life, but this is our first TT. We are so excited to have this to take to the Fort. Maiden voyage is in June/July...we can't wait!

Good looking rig. What model is that?

2016 Jayco Jay Flight 28BHBE. We love it! Queen front, double over double bunks in the back, bathroom entry with a HUGE shower. Overall length a tad over 33' with 2 AC units for that Florida sun. :smooth:

Congratulations!!! When we first got our camper we were so excited the first night we brought it home we set it all up in our driveway and slept in it. I see that you have stayed at Fort Wilderness many times in the past. Where had you stayed in those prior to owning your own rv years?

It's amazing how those things will sneak up and grab on to the back of your truck.

Very nice. Our friends came home with a new Cherokee TT last night. We went to the ball game with them today and were talking about the Fort. We may have a new set of converts too.

Congrats and have a great time planning this summer's trip.

Congrats on taking care of that Lost Trailer that followed you home. I know how it goes..... We went to the "Pound" and found a Coachmen 343QBDS that needed a nice home too.

Got me thinking though, ours is nearly 36 feet long with 2 slides. A Queen bed in the front and rear. Ours only has 1 AC unit. I hope it will be enough to keep things cool for our trip in August to the fort.

If you think you will be too hot, you can always get an in-room air conditioner that vents out a window and install it quite easily. We did that in our old class C that only had one AC unit on the roof. With those camper roofs I found that it really depends on if you are parked in shade or not. If you are parked in full sun, the heat will quickly overtake the ac unit and the inside of the camper will be quite toasty. If we were parked in shade, then the one ac unit did just fine for us. So we would only use the in-room AC unit when we were in full sun in hot weather and that made a ton of difference.

I have a 3 bed hybrid and the one A/C was fine in 95-97 degrees and we have 3 big "holes" that it can escape from. I also use a tower fan in one corner to blow the air around which helps, and they just sit in a corner and out of the way. I would suggest a couple of those at either end of the camper to move the air around.

We have a portable AC unit (with Vent hose to go outside) but it's a rather large unit (physically). I have to go back and look at how many BTUs our TT AC is rated for. We may be okay... I guess time will tell.
