I feel like such a traitor!!!!

Ever since we booked, we had hoped to stay at CSR, but could not get the FL rate. It just opened up today, and we took it. Since we stayed at POFQ last year, I was kind of hoping to try a different theme. I hope you will forgive me for jumping ship with POR. I definately plan to stay there next time.

Well be that way why don't you! LOLOLOL Hope you post how you liked CSR. I only went to POFQ for the pool, LOL the buildings looked pretty though.

Where are you flying out of? We are on Long Island and I am still debating if we are going to fly or drive. I can get good rates on the way down out of JFK, but the prices on the way back are CRAZY !! I am going to call my AAA TA now and request a corner room in AB bldg 18. Thanks for all the great info!!

We are in Maryland and it took 13 hours to drive. According to the trip thingy, LOL, it was 886 miles from POR to my door and thats with side stopd for gas, food and fireworks!
On the way down we stopped in Savannah GA. Then we went over to Tampa to visit a friend. On the way home we drove right through, the kids fell asleep and we had taken turns sleeping so we thought why not! It was nice to get home and be in our own beds.

We are flying out of Newark on the 15th at 6:00 pm. Its a Tuesday and we come back on the following Wednesday. The original prices were 59 going down and 99 coming back, they have since gone up a bit, to 76 and 109.

We come home on a Saturday so the prices was like $400 per person!!! I was thinking of maybe driving up to Atlanta and flying home from there. The prices in Atlanta were $99 per person. I am probably just going to book my flight down first and then worry about coming home later, Maybe we will just have to stay in WDW for extra day!!!!!

LOL, I double checked with my AAA TA that she had put the request in and then I called POR directly about 3 days before we were to arrive. We arrived on a Sunday and I checked in about noon. Room was ready and I had gotten my building request. Now if we stay there again, I may ask for a building and a corner room - you get two windows with a corner room.

The 2 windows sounds nice. Are there alot of these rooms? It seems like it would really open up the room alot!

We had a corner room last year in April in building 17. I would open the blinds and let the sun in to wake the kids up.

The TA put down my request for building 14 or 18. How soon can I request a corner room?

i probably won't get AB we are only 4, but I have a teenage boy with me who will sleep on the floor if he has to. Don't ask I have no idea why.

I don't really know if they are the same size or not. I didn't request it. I had only requested a ground floor non smoking room at the time. When I checked in I asked if they had anything in building 14 or 18 and they didn't and then they gave me the corner room in building 17. It was kind of a far walk as we were in the back of the building. But whats more walking when you are in Disney.

I did see on one thread that someone was in the mansions with 5 and Disney brought in a roll a way bed, so I guess thats possible.

You can either have your TA request the corner room now and then you can do it when you confirm or just request it when you call to confirm. Had I know about the corner rooms, I would have asked. Looking at the map I would guess there are 24 corner rooms per building, 12 on the bottom and 12 on the top floor....it's just a guess from the map.
