It's that time of year again...Sweet Corn!!

I have bought from that farm in the past! But it's been a while since I went most often when we lived in Maple Grove.

I'm going to have to make a store run tonight for some sweet corn, I'm hungry. I add sugar and a bit of butter to my water while boiling. My DH hates it when I eat sweet corn because I add so much butter, cause it's so bad for the heart but it tastes so good.

I love Corn my Dh claims i'm gonna turn into a corn cob LOL. He adds sugar to water. My favorite way is on the grill wrapped in foil after smuthering it with butter and mrs. dash.

I can seem to get it to work on the grill. I have tried it a few times and burned it...burnt sweet corn does not smell good.

Mmmmm, grilled corn! I've only had it grilled a few times (State Fair every year!) but I love it that way. We're giving the grill a work out since we're without the kitchen for a few days!

I live in New Hope, we're four or five blocks from Crystal E-Free Church at 169 and Rockford Road. Our house is the one with a dumpster full of broken up cupboards and ripped up linoleum floor in the driveway!

The one thing I miss so bad from back home. Sweetcorn. FL version YUCK, no taste.

gshoemate - you can leave the husk right on the cob and grill it that way. We just trim the silk off the outside. It's messy to peel it after you grill it that way, do it outside. Or you can peal the husk back, but don't remove, remove the silk, brush the corn with butter and seasoning and then pull the husk back up and grill it that way.

hey - speaking of state fair corn, I wonder if any Minnesotans are up for a state fair meet?

FigmentVI, I just got back to this post, sorry! We have lived in Whitman for 14 years now. Yes, I know Harvard St.! Oh, I'll have to check that out. Is it really noticable as I take that right onto Harvard St. or is it further down? thanks!
