It's raining, it's pouring, and we are gorging...ourselves on delicious food!

This day was kind of boring as far as the food goes. It was a good day with nice weather. We started our day at EPCOT. I think I was still full from the night before because I didn’t get hungry until much later in the day…the plan was to eat lunch at the counter service place in Morocco, but I wasn’t hungry until around 1 and then I didn’t want to ruin my appetite for dinner at the Primetime Diner. This led to a small breakdown where I got very cranky and upset that I had ruined the entire vacation by making our ADRs too early…little did I know that tropical storm Fay would actually be what ruined our vacation….*sigh* Ok, the pity party is over. So we didn’t use a CS credit on this day, I just got some fries at the counter near France with a snack credit. The fries were delicious and my good mood was restored.

Ok, fast-forward to dinner and we had a 5:30 ADR for the Primetime Diner…we waited for about 10 mins to be seated. We really enjoyed the atmosphere here. We were seated at a nice table in the back with a good view of a TV which played clips from old shows. Our waitress, Cousin Kim (I think) was very sweet and complimented us on our sharing skills (“sharing is caring”) and our lovely table manners, however she thought Dbf, whom she lovingly referred to as Skippy, looked like he might be a bit messy so she gave him a bib to wear with his favorite princess on it…

To drink I had a coke float and Dbf has a peanut butter and jelly milkshake. First the bad…my coke float was ok at best, it had a strange flavor I couldn’t put my finger on…I mean, I drank it, but it wasn’t very tasty….now the good…Dbf’s milkshake was DELICIOUS!! I recommended it to him after reading about it on the Dis. We both loved it!!

Alright on to the main dishes…I ordered the old fashion pot roast and Dbf had the top sirloin steak. My dish was yummy. Now, I happen to prefer my Granny’s pot roast, but this one was good. The vegetables were good, but the presentation was a bit odd…I thought they would be all mixed together. Anyways it was good…

Dbf’s top sirloin was ok…I mean, I don’t really know what else to say. There wasn’t anything overtly bad about it, but in the same turn there wasn’t anything amazing either.

For dessert we both had the smores and they were very good. Not as good as the real thing over a camp fire, but we still ate them…all of them…

(this isn’t my pic—I guess I forgot to take one in my haste to start shoveling them down)

Overall…I give it 2.75 stars. The décor and atmosphere were delightful the food was hit and miss. I don’t think we will eat here again for a long time. I would probably only go back with someone who hadn’t been before just so they could enjoy the atmosphere. There are much better places to eat.

Well, I forgot to post these earlier. We stopped in Italy to have a drink…I wasn’t sure if I wanted the Bellini or the Italian Margarita, the lady was kind enough to give me a sample of each and the winner (for me) was…the Italian Margarita. Here I am trying it out…

And here I am after drinking about half of it on an empty stomach….

Dbf got a beer…a Moretti. He had tried one before when he studied abroad (lucky duck) and this one did not disappoint…

Ok, that’s all…there are more drinks to come…

Nice-looking drinks - love that picture of you in front of the fountain :)

We were right there with you during Fay (DH acronymed it "Forget About Yours!") but we really did end up having a good time in spite of it - even if rain did keep us from getting to Earl of Sandwich. And I think we may have been at the 50's Prime Time the same night -was it August 18? We had Auntie Clair as our server who was a riot. She got by husband and son so riled up they were shooting spitballs at each other. One of the servers actually crawled in through the window. I agree the food is just okay (small portions) but it is a fun place to try.

I love your BF bib at Prime Time!! I can't wait to try that Pot Roast!!!

Great reviews :)

Day 4—One of our favorites

Ok, well this was the day that it was only slightly raining off and on (while looking generally gloomy) and we decided to hit Blizzard Beach while the weather was so good… We decided to keep riding until we had done everything we wanted. That only took a couple of hours since there was hardly anyone there. We decided to eat lunch at our resort (CBR). Well, since we stopped off directly after Blizzard Beach I didn’t have my camera, but here are my general thoughts:
I thought it was hard to navigate. Things are broken up into little areas according to the type of food. For the life of me I couldn’t figure out where to get our dessert. I had to ask someone and was pointed over the Stop and Go area. Also the selection left a little to be desired. We both had burgers and fries—they were good, we were hungry. I had key lime pie for dessert that I took back to the room, but never ate. My Dbf had a brownie and it was delicious. Overall I give it 2 stars; I was a much bigger fan of the food court at every other resort we have stayed at (POR, Pop, ASMu, and OKW).

Dinner was at one of our favorite places—Ohana. :woohoo: We left early so we could have a pre-dinner drink. I had a backscratcher and Dbf had a lapu lapu. We have had numerous lapu lapus over the years so I decided to try something new. It was tasty and I would recommend it. It went well with the food. Here’s a pic…ignore the poor unsuspecting “cousin” I caught in the background

Well, I am a big fan of the “new” menu in general and especially the pork pot stickers. Yumm-o!!! I took pics of almost everything so here’s the bread and salad:

Here are the veggies and noodles (which I think are ok—I liked the potatoes better, but it’s just really not a big deal to me):

Here are the infamous pot stickers and the wings (Dbf loves the wings):

Ok, no pics of the meat itself, I mean its just meat—delicious meat. My favorite, by far, is the turkey. Also, no dessert pic. I really think this is my favorite dessert in all of the World. It is sooooooooooooooooo yummy. I would love to just swim in a pool of it and then lick myself clean…ok clearly I’m a little obsessed with it. Overall, I give this stint at O’Hana’s 4 stars, wonderful food, lovely service, and the décor is nice and we were seated by a window with a lovely view of the torrential rain outside…coming up…a change of plans!!!! All those months of planning and then, lo and behold we change our minds….

Ohana (of course) looks delicious! I can't wait to hear more about your "change of plans" :woohoo: I believe plans are like rules, they're meant to be broken. Of course I still spend unknown amounts of hours planning our plans but we never just do what is planned.

I'm in. Love your report. By the way, I'm an alum of UALR law school. I guess you two go to Fayetteville? What year?

Edited to add: Oops. I saw you answered that. See what happens when you stop working and stay home with three little kids all day! I'm kidding. But my brain is slightly fried today . . . . .
