It's prom day

and DD has pink eye (again) and a UTI. Poor thing is going to be miserable tonight.

I'm taking her to the doctor before her hair appointment so hopefully they will get her started on a UTI medicine soon. We tried cranberry juice and the AZO tablets and the only thing they did was make her pee orange.

She didn't have any school restrictions the last time she had pink eye so hopefully there won't be a prom restriction either. She won't rub her eyes since she'll have on eye make up (which we just bought yesterday and will need to throw away after one use lol).

Oh, I'll post prom pictures on Sunday or Monday. My mom and granny are visiting from WV so it will be a busy weekend.

Awww, poor thing, that IS miserable! I hope the doc can get her on something that will have at least some effect BEFORE the prom!

Lots of water & try Craisins. Along with a anti-biotic they do have something stronger than AZO which only helps with the pain-The Kool-aid pee shows it is working. Sorry about the Pink-eye.

If they offer her pain pills for the UTI, say no. Even if they may offer relief, they will also make her vomit non-stop and that would just be horrible for prom.

My son's prom is tomorrow. I thought having girls go to prom was expensive, but I spent close to $350 on it for my son, between the tickets, the tux and the corsage. I hope he has a great time!

I didn't see the outcome of your thread about her dress, so I have to ask--did she choose the pink gown? Or the purple floral?

Since April 11, I have been in an out of Dr.s, the hospital and a specialist for a VERY bad UTI(they were even thinking chronic issues ). Azo(Pyridium did nothing for me) One that did help and was over the counter was Cystex. It took away a lot of discomfort and misery.

The other thing that might help is to have her sit for a little while with a heating pad on her stomach and bladder,then switch to a cold pack. Everything becomes relaxed with the heat and the ice pack numbs it all. Hope that helps some. Sorry she is going through all of this on such a special night!
