I hate braces.

The lady today, couldnt get a certain braquet thing on because it was too small.
I wouldve told her. But she had her hand down my throat.
She kept pushing down.
and down,
and down.
It hurt,
like crazy.
The lady almost broke my FACE.
I swear i heard my jaw pop 3 or 4 times.

My braces dont usually hurt after I get them fixed anymore, because im kinda used to it.
But they hurt like CRAZY right now.
and she tore my gums APART.
:(

Ow. :( Braces suck. I've had them for two years and counting.

I hated them, but now my teeth look amazing. It's worth it.

But, heres a little story. On the first time meeting my orthodontist, he spit right in my mouth. Gross.

One time while I was getting new bands, the lady putting them on had like inch long fake nails! They made my gums bleed...

My teeth usually don't hurt much afterwards. But that's because I've been through most of the wires. They're not focusing on the size of the wires anymore, just on the shape.

What I hated was the dang chains (you know the plastic chains that close spaces?). I had a tooth on my bottom row that needed to turn drastically and they used those. Well, it kept on breaking. And then at one point because it was Christmas break and they were off for like a month, they put 3 on at the same time!
It was painnnful.

Omg! That is disgusting! But I seriously can't stop laughing .
I would have definately puked though.

Glug i know what you mean.

I have on stubbern little molar that won't come in so they keep trying every time to jam a band on it. I ended up screaming last time so they decided not to put it on :]

I have power chains right now on my top...I really need them on the bottom though...my top teeth are like perfect but my bottom ones are sooo off. I've had them for a year now so only one more year to go

omg..when i first heard i had to get braces..i nearly died...my overbite is soooo bad they couldnt even put them all on at the same time =( so i had to basicly deal with the same pain twice...and it would last for a month afterwards..the first time i went i got the rubberband spacers for a week..then i got the braces...they dont hurt when i go and get my wires changed but the lady kept popping the braqets(spelling sorry) off and couldnt get them to stay so i would have to sit there for an hour while they used a UV light to dry the cement...it was crazy...Now it only hurts if i have to get braqets put on again (only if they fall off)..I'm used to the wires now...But I'm sure after my 2 years of braces...it will be worth it =)

Ugh, eeww!
Aren't they supposed to wear those covers over their mouths?:scared:

Ow :( I had braces for about 4 years, so I know what you mean about the pain.

Once, the Ortho. had to take impressions of my mouth while I had my braces on. He had the assistant person do it and she was horrible! First off she freaked me out because her hands/fingers were all cut up and had skin hanging down and... ick. It was disgusting. Second, she couldn't find a tray that fit perfectly in my mouth to do the impression. One was too big and one was too small. Guess which one she picked? Yeah. The one that was too SMALL. She put the gunk in it and shoved it in my mouth and decided she messed up. She then tried to take it out... but it didn't work. The tray had these holes in the front, and one of my brackets got stuck in it. I don't think she saw it, and she kept pulling. After about 5 minutes, she finally got the stupid thing out of my mouth. My mouth hurt like crazy and she actually had the nerve to say "Hm. I guess it was too small." I could've smacked her

Ouch!
I have to get braces sometime in the coming year. I am NOT looking forward to it!

I had braces for about a year when I was 10. They weren't full braces though, just like four on the top and some other stuff. I got full braces when I was 13 and had then for three years. I now have an open bite so to fix that I would need braces AGAIN and surgery. I don't think I'm going to do it.

Mine are coming off possibly in the winter (unlikely) or in May.
Maybe longer, hopefully not.

only 6 more weeks of these things...right in time for school :P

i have had them on for two years, i also had a retainer for a year, braces ofr a year and a half, and a palate expander for 6 months.

not fun but it is so worth it

:jumping1:

ugh Ive had braces for over a year now. I hate them. And now I dont have the nice ortho hygenist, I have a stupid one who cant put on a bracket. I started off with 4 braces and then got full ones, and when she added the ones so all my teeth had braces 4 of them fell off  ( luckily it was in the ortho place so I didnt have to come back) It is funny though when they speak french and think I can't understand them. One of the hygenists was talking to the orthodontist once and she asked if I could understand her. She got quite a surprise when I answered her question

Ugh, mine does that too.
The entire place is French, so they start babbling along in French to each other and then repeat everything to me as if I didn't know what they said.
It's like, I know French, and I could really honestly care less what you're doing to my mouth as long as it isn't painful.
