It's official, Winter on sale 22nd May...

Just been on the DLRP website and there is a little box at the bottom near the offers saying departures from 8th Nov go on sale 22nd May. I know this had been mentioned here but as yet, nothing official until this.

The lovely CM I spoke to in Feb said "it's best to wait until early June" and give them a ring to get prices. I'm taking that possibly as - there will be an early booking offer which will be OK, but nothing to write home about. Then, once that ends, there will hopefully )) be a flash sale within a few days around that period he mentioned....?

We are looking forward to our upcoming, and FIRST ever, trip to DLRP. We will be arriving early January. We fly from the states on December 31.
Since that is definitely off season, I am hoping for a good deal.

No problem. I hope I am correct about the flash sale - fingers crossed!

The only thing is, I am going to have a problem with booking then as we are actually in DLRP the first week in June so can't book then .... Hope we don't miss out!

Wonder if there is anywhere in the park where you can book your next holiday while there on holiday? I know it sounds a bit mad but, I'm sure Center Parcs do something similar to get people to sign up again before they leave!

You will get a good deal, but just be aware that, that time of the year is when they do maintenance on the rides, so some rides you may want to go on may not be running when you stay. They do issue a list of what's not running and when, this is a link to this years list with dates of closures. I booked mine before the list came out, and luckily i got one day on my favourite ride (buzz light year).

im so happy !! my mum works for a high street travel agent and they said deposits were increasing to 15% for winter bookings from 22nd may so am literally counting down the days

i cant afford to book until the first week of june so as hard as it will be im going to wait until there is hopefully a flash sale

i was thinking of booking and then upgrading during the flash sale but i dont know if they will allow me

either way cant wait to go back ,the last time was Feb 2010 i packed hats and scarves but the first 2 days we only wore hoodies however a few years before that we were deep in snow in March so who knows

Just to add that the 1st week of January at DLP is still very busy as alot of the Spanish schools are still on holiday and seem to all be at DLP during that week.

I'm going 26th-28th Nov & it has been booked for a couple of weeks. I'm going with work, the social club have organised the trip. There are 53 of us going so we got a good deal as got discount & group rate We have had to pay 15% deposit.

Thank you for the link. We have been to WDW twice in January and had the same issue; some rides were closed for maintenance. I understand it will be the same way here. Hopefully it will not be many.
I have read many things about the cold weather in January. Everyone in our family bought thick ski coats in March, when our winter was ending. We got great deals on some very warm coats! I also bought fur lined boots. We plan to pack hats, gloves, etc. We know it will be cold. DH just insisted on January because air fare was so much cheaper for that month.

We will tour London first. We will be there about a week. I think we will be arriving at DLRP on January 6 or 7. Maybe we will just miss those crowds? I hope so. We have been hoping for low crowds.

We are hoping to go in December and I didn't take advantage of the early booker discount. So it will be interesting to see if we get a decent price having waited! As long as you are happy with the price you paid, that's the main thing.

As you can see I'm not a newbie for DLRP but I am a newcomer to the boards. Have been lurking for a while but finally decided to take the plunge.

I was pretty happy with the price I paid so hopefully the gamble will pay off.

Me too! We're booked for 21st-25th November and got the early booking offer. I am hoping to upgrade our hotel if they do a 40% deal later on, but in the meantime I can start planning for real!!
