It's official... the insanity begins... DVC $100/pt.!

Actually...I'm not so sure how insane that price is. If you look at the listings, you see only four BCV's, two of which are sold.

One of those sold contracts is cutely priced at $88.10. Since Disney has twice ROFR'd $88, it is hard to imagine them passing on that contract for a dime.

The other sold contract is priced at $92, and that looks like it should clear ROFR...although you never know.

The only other unsold contract is priced at $85. There is no way in the world that will pass ROFR, even stripped as it is.

So the $100 contract is actually the only game in town, other than buying direct for $95. It's a high price, but it's not an insane price.

I agree with Jim. Plus, that contract is fully loaded. 200 points from 05 and 06 and 200 available to be borrowed from 07.

If stripped contracts are selling in the mid 90's I think this one would be a good deal. Disney is selling for $92 when they have points so $8 more is hardly a giant leap.

I would imagine that at $148 a point it will pass ROFR.

I wouldn't be too sure. At $148/pt, Disney might say "No thank you. WE will sell it to them at that price!" Isn't that what ROFR means? ;)

I wish DVC would go ahead and announce their next project. Not that it's likely to be a surprise, but it should take the steam out of the BCV resales.

Passing ROFR means that Disney said "No, Thank you" So whoever you quoted was correct. It will definitely pass.

$150 a point is just criminal. Somebody has to have screwed up with that listing.
I think it would be criminal if someone was to pay it. Or just foolish.
