It's offical!

Just got word back from MIL! She and my FIL can watch the kids and the puppy so DH and I can go on our first trip on our own!

We will go Aug 18th and come back the 22nd. With DH getting in free on his birthday and us using 5 comp tickets from our last trip, the tickets are covered.

Now we just have to decide where to stay. It is between the Hojos w/out the great ET rate this time or Candy Cane Inn. Anyone have any input as to which one and why or perhaps another hotel within walking that we should consider?

I can't believe we are actually going to do this so soon after our Dec. family trip! I will have to update my siggy!

I am going to suggest the Hojo to you. Its closer then the Candy Cane (5 min walk to the park) the service is amazing. The pool is just wonderful and the rooms are very nice and comfortable. For convenience I would say Hojo. But I also really enjoy the Tropicana. This is my place of choice. Its directly across the street from the main gate, has its own late night convenient store attached, and the service is very nice there.

Fun fun!!! We really have fun when we go without the kids....not that we do it a lot, so far in the past 2 years there have been 2 trips without kids. LOL But you will have fun!!!

As for hotels, if we can't get a great rate at the HoJo we like the CCI. Great breakfast and shuttle!!!

DH and I are going on our first trip together without the kids in September for an early anniversary trip...I am so excited! We will be staying at Hojo.

Candy Cane Inn - a little more romantic for the two of you than Hojo - and since you can't get the Ent Rate @ Hojo, price should be comparable. CCI has the dedicated shuttle and you can have breakfast in your room. Pool area is nice, too, if you'll be doing that (DH and I would not be doing pool area if we went without kids). Have a great trip!!

My wife and I have our 20th anniversary next year and we have never left the kids. There is hope.

Not only will this be a birthday trip but we will be arriving 3 days after our 17th anniversary as well! I am almost finding it harder to wait for than our family trips.
