It's a shame you cannot get closer to the dolphins any more unless you have bought the food.

I love seeing the dolphins.

One of the wave pools, the waves are quite strong but the pool surface is not as rough at Typhoon Lagoons so you can easily sit on it without getting scraped.

The other wave pool, both are right next door to each other.

My favourite place here, the rapids creek ride, you have to wear the life jackets and can positively whizz round this creek. Though I don't know why the lifeguard cannot make eye contact with you if he speaks to you, any thoughts?

Aquatica has now become our favourite water park.

Great photo's.I am assuming the lifeguard can't make eye contact with you,as they have to be keeping an ee on other swimmers.x.

It would be handy to have eyes that could move independently wouldn't it.:rotfl:

Some more wonderful pics. I love the look of Aquatica and the idea of having double rafts on the lazy river.

Laur's princess:

We are not particularly into water parks but we had such a laugh with the rapid creek area that Aquatica is our fav now.

I am not a water person, won't go underwater, don't even like water splashed in my face(something happened when i was younger in my schools swimming club :sad2: )so i am very warey of water, especially the sea :scared1: .
We have never done a water park in WDW-because of me,but we have Flex tickets for next year+because Aquatica is included,i am going to give it a try.So i like the idea of having someone with me on the double water rafts :thumbsup2 .
A few questions----how deep is the water on the lazy rivers(i am 5ft 5"),are the rafts easy that you can fall out of them face first :scared1: -or will my butt hopefully hold me in :lmao: .What else would be good for me there, being as though i have this fear-is there suitable things for my dd who will be 4 when we go?.Dd7(she will be 8 whilst were over there) will be fine with hubby :thumbsup2 .p.s i don't do slides either).x.

I love the Sea World pics - cannot wait to go there!

Snap, I am not a water person either, don't like going underwater. I am 5 ft 6 and none of the creeks were very deep. I cannot remember how deep they are but say waist height at a rough guess.

I have never felt particularly safe sitting in rubber rings and have always struggled to get in them, especially as you see loads of people jumping backwards trying to get in and the whole raft flies up into the air, and the person goes underwater. I also don't like the way you just float and can easily get left behind. The problem was solved this year by my youngest son suggesting I just lift the ring and put my head through the hole. I was still able to float by raising my legs and holding on via my shoulders, abet not as easy as sitting in it but I had greater stability, could easily find my feet to catch up with the family and could easily dodge fountains and the like. For the first time I found it really relaxing because I still had control.

The problem with the rafts is actually getting in them, you need someone to keep it steady to jump onto. Once in you are pretty safe, just it is hard to control where you are going. As your arms and legs are on either side of the hole in the middle you will not fall through the centre.

The smaller lazy creek with the two rafts would be fine if you get help sitting in it and have someone with you who will direct you away from waterfalls and the like. Or you can do what I described and have my legs available to dodge waterfalls.

The faster creek was great fun and you have life jackets which make you float round though it is difficult to dodge waterfalls due to the speed you go in some of the areas. However, it would be very easy just to stand up and walk and thereby dodge areas you were not happy with.

Both wave pools are fine because you have control. No need to go into the deeper area you can just sit at the beginning and just get gently waved or just stand up in it.

There were plenty of slides (I am not a slide person either - did it once in the UK's Wet n Wild and nearly drown on a twister type slide). My sons went on a double raft one which they loved.

There was also a big water adventure area which I think was geared more to the younger child which your 4 year would enjoy. It may be on the website.

There were also plenty of loungers on a white sandy beach so you could chill out for a while. As you know we visited after going to Sea World so you could always try it for a couple of hours to see what you think. I think as long as you know you have your legs available to stand up and dodge anything you would be fine.

Thank you very much-i like the idea you done by putting your head+shoulders thru :thumbsup2 .I reckon there is deffinatley something for me+little one to try-the wave pool sounds great. Thanks again for taking the time to write all that up,much appreciated.x.

Fab pictures of Aquatica,and photos.
Its nice reading other peoples positive experiences here..:goodvibes
