We left the hotel at 8.15 am by 8.45 am we were on the tram on the way to the transportation centre. As per usual we headed to my favourite ride, Splash Mountain which only had a five minute wait at 9.10 am. I love the songs on this ride, they are so happy. We grabbed fast passes for this ride before we went on it, as the water ride is always popular.
We had two goes on Big Thunder Mountain next, we just walked straight onto it both times. We followed this with a trip on Pirates of the Caribbean, I like this ride even more now they have added Johnny Depp. We took the right hand lane and didnt follow the crowds and as a result we were straight onto our boat whilst the people who went the left hand way had to wait. It pays to know that at Disney if a lane is open, it is open and not just to follow the people in front. The normal line was only 10 minutes in any case.
We walked right across the park to the tommorrowland area and picked up fast passes for Space Mountain, the standby times for the ride at 1045 was 20 minutes but we have gotten used to just walking on rides so we prefer just to fast pass them at Disney.
Stitch is a favourite ride of the lads so we tackled this next, again this was a walk on ride at this time. I quite enjoy this ride though I know many people prefer the original alien ride. To me alien isnt really a disney type ride.
We then went back across the park to do our Splash fast pass ride. The normal line was 30 minutes wait at 1045 am but with our fast passes we were straight on. I cannot understand why anyone bothers to stand in line when you can fast pass them, seems like a waste of time. I very much enjoy this ride.
We were then back in between our two favourite areas and went on the Haunted Mansion, as with all Disney rides it was unbelieveably good. We had not been on this ride for a couple of years because it was being refurbished last year. We noticed a few new things on it which were good. At 11.15 am the wait time was 10 minutes which equated to a walk on ride by the time you got to the actual ride.
We decided to have lunch next, at our current favourite at Magic, the Columbia Harbour restaurant which sells normal tuna sandwiches which is what 3 of us had and DH had a BLT salad with chicken. The sandwiches are really nice. As we were before 12 the restaurant was quite quiet which was a change.
After lunch we tried to use our fast passes for Space Mountain but it had stopped working, we nipped on the tommorrowland transit railroad for a trip around the area whilst they sorted the ride out. This wasnt long because on this ride we saw that space was working so this is where we went next. At 12.40 pm Spaceś normal line was running at 50 minutes but we were practically straight on it.
We walked back to adventureland where DS19 grabbed a pineappple juice before we embarked on a raft to Tom Sawyerś island. We had a wander around the island and had a laugh when DH ran across the wobbly barrel bridge. I thought I was taping it but turned out I hadnt much to the kids disappointment. When we returned to the main area, Splash was running at 70 minutes standby line at 1.15 pm.
On the way out we popped in the main shop to buy a present for one of my lovely, adorable nieces and left the park via the monorail for a change. The car was like an oven, I kid you not, when we returned to it.
We poppped over to one of Disneys water parks, Blizzard Beach and spent quite a while floating around lazy creek. Totally relaxing.
As soon as we had had enough we had a walk round the park, then popped into a
Walmart store on our return to the hotel. It is a massive store, we bought some of those tracphones for US use, that have no contracts and are dead cheap so that if we separate it is easy for us to contact each other.
We returned to the hotel, whilst DH went back to the Mall of Millenia to swap a top for a bigger size. We just went back to the room, for some quiet time.
As soon as DH returned we went off to Epcot for the evening to enjoy the fireworks. We stopped off at spaceship earth before the lands. Last year this ride was being refurbished so we were really surprised and had a good laugh at the improvements. It has really made the ride exceptional now and we intend to go on it again.
We walked round the lands till it was time for the fireworks. The fireworks were outstanding as per usual. I tried to catch them with my camera but it was difficult.
On the way back to the hotel we stopped off at a subway and bought some sandwiches which we have now ate. I grabbed the computer before DS19 so I could get this blog done quickly so I can get off to sleep for tomorrows activities.
So till then bye.
