Kathy - I am so sorry to hear that Ann's husband got sick!! That is everyone's worst nightmare on a long trip, isn't it? I hope it is quickly gone. Maybe y'all could still get together?!?! Hope so!

Are we all going to see you when we are there? My brain is mush and I cannot for the life of me remember!

We will be at Kidani from October 10-14 and have tickets for the Swan and Dolphin F&W Classic on Friday. I'm hoping we can meet up with everyone at some point during our trip. You have my number.

I'm feeling pretty good, thanks; see my doctor on Friday. I'm sad because my DD left yesterday. We had a wonderful visit, but it was too short.

The fitness center/mini spa at Jambo DEFINITELY has a sauna (steam room).

I'm not sure about the fitness center at Kidani. We've stayed there 3 times, so far, and I've yet to have time to check it out (plus, it's been good weather for most of our trips, so I can get my power walks in outside). It's on my "to do" list for December, actually.

Thanks so much. I've only gone in the gym to quickly look it over, did not do any further investigations. This might get me in there

....I hope not....I doubt it though....we'll see when he goes for his follow-up visit next week...it was amazing, but an hour after he was in recovery, his EKG was totally normal...

We had an amazing time! This was the first time Bob got to see the front door of Kindred Hospital in Richmond! I enjoyed letting them know how much we appreciate everything that they did for Bob, as well as us. When the PT staff saw Bob they all cried. They could not believe his progress since his month with them in February-March 2011. What a nice evening we had!

My handsome, distinguished husband:

AWWW ! SOOO happy to see how dear Bob is doing GREAT !!
Surely he looks so handsome ! In Italy we would say "Molto interessante !!"
Me too , I cannot believe what HUGE progress he has done ! and can feel HOW HAPPY YOU and family are !!

I'll let my ex-pupils know about Bob when we meet for a pizza next month, they will be delighted too !

Elin, I got here after Bob's illness, but what a miraculous transformation. What a blessing he has made such fabulous progress. I can definitely understand why there was not a dry eye on the house.

Hopefully the next 7 days goes super fast.

Thanks, Pam. His stroke should have left us with very little to work with, so I am very proud of his progress and accomplishments. He has worked hard to get where he is.

And I am afraid the next week is going to fly by! But in a very good way: Our older daughter, Kathrin, and her guy, Chris, are in the air as I type this. They are headed down here from Boston for the weekend. And younger DD, Kristin, and her room mate, will be down tomorrow for Oktoberfest!

I am not packed; have not even thought of what we will be taking! The kids leave on Sunday and then I teach until Friday night. Bob has appointments and so do I this week, so I just know next Sunday morning is going to rush up in my face before I blink!

Afternoon J's & K's - hope everyone is well. We're good here - my headache is back............ I'm thinking it might not be my sinuses after all, but maybe one of the meds?? I don't know......... but, it's not as bad as it was before. AND then, I was mopping and kicked the table in the foyer - OMG, I think I broke my toe............ it hurts SO bad.......... at least it's not snowing............ LOL


SO, YES, Pilferk, you were right, my good news DOES involve my DS - but, I still can't share it just yet............ but, you are probably correct!!
